Top Tennis Picks and Predictions for Friday, October 23, 2020

| October 22, 2020 12:17 pm PDT

The tennis action this week continues with plenty of ATP and WTA matches on the schedule for October 23. The competitions in Antwerp, Cologne, and Ostrava are reaching a boiling point and every clash from now on will be a battle.

I share my predictions and tennis picks for Friday in this post. It includes three matches from various competitions and each of them comes with my reasoning.

If you have your own ideas for tennis betting tips for the day, I would love to read them in the comments section below this piece.

Milos Raonic (-1.5) vs. Grigor Dimitrov

Let’s begin with a clash between the fourth and fifth seed in ATP Antwerp. Milos Raonic has been flawless so far in the competition and is yet to give up a set. Even when his serve was below par, the Canadian still managed to stay solid in his first two matches of the tournament.

His next opponent is the strongest up to this point but looked shaky in his only clash of the tournament. Grigor Dimitrov allowed Pablo Andujar a total of eight break points and a set. He was far from his best and if he didn’t face a typical clay-court specialist like the Spaniard, it could’ve easily gone the other way.

The Bulgarian has a 3-2 H2H advantage over his next opponent, but Raonic has been stronger in Antwerp and should be able to cover the -1.5 handicap. The price of -110 is more than enough for me to give it a go.

Alexander Zverev vs. Adrian Mannarino Over 20.5

Next in line is the encounter between Alexander Zverev and Adrian Mannarino in Cologne. The young German is the overwhelming favorite of the leading betting sites, but I believe that’s more down to his reputation than the performances in the competition up to this point.

Zverev struggled in the opening round against John Millman and made ten double faults. It was a poor match by both men’s standards, while Mannarino has been impressive so far in the tournament.

I don’t think he can win the upcoming clash and Zverev holds a 3-0 H2H advantage, but I expect from the Frenchman to at least put up a fight. We could see three sets or at least two close ones, so the over 20.5 option looks like one of the best tennis tips of the day.

Maria Sakkari to Beat Ons Jabeur

Since the return of tennis, Ons Jabeur has been one of the most exciting players on the WTA tour. The Tunisian is having the time of her life and she reached another quarterfinal in WTA Ostrava.

Jabeur is yet to lose a set in the tournament, but the same can be said about her next opponent. Maria Sakkari has been dominant and beat both Krystina Pliskova and the top seed Elina Svitolina without breaking a sweat.

Her form has been amazing, so the price of +110 for another victory over Jabeur is certainly among the top betting picks for Friday.
