Tennessee Titans vs. Baltimore Ravens – NFL Week 11, 2020
Week 11 of the 2020 NFL season brings the rematch of the last season’s AFC divisional round, as the Baltimore Ravens welcome the Tennessee Titans at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, November 22.
The Titans beat the Ravens 28-12 as 10-point road underdogs on January 11 and will look for another upset in Baltimore this weekend. These two conference foes split their previous eight encounters, and neither side has recorded two straight wins in that span.
I’ve prepared my best Titans vs. Ravens betting pick along with the latest team news and stats, so let’s take a closer look.
Titans vs. Ravens Odds
The Ravens opened as firm -255 moneyline favorites, and I’m a bit surprised by the odds, expecting the bookies to favor the hosts around four points.
The totals sit at 47 points, as bookmakers are not looking for a high-scoring affair. Both Tennessee and Baltimore lean heavily on rushing, while four of their previous five head-to-head duels went in the under.
Tennessee Titans Analysis
After five consecutive wins at the start of the season, the Titans have struggled recently, dropping three of their previous four contests. They are coming off a 34-17 home loss to the Indianapolis Colts in the previous Thursday Night Football, so the Titans will have a few days extra to rest and prepare for Week 11.
Tennessee scored zero second-half points against Indy while surrendering 21 in return. Trevor Daniel’s terrible 17-yard punt cost the Titans a touchdown in the third quarter, while Daniel’s next punt was blocked and returned for a TD.
Now, the Titans are 6-3 and sitting at the second spot in the AFC South. The Colts are 6-3, too, and these two foes will battle for the divisional crown.
Tennessee is scoring 27.7 points per game (10th in the NFL) on 374.6 total yards (11th). However, the Titans have some serious defensive issues and are yielding 26.1 points per game (17th) on 398.1 total yards (24th).
Baltimore Ravens Analysis
The Ravens had a tough day in the office in Week 10, losing at the New England Patriots 23-17 as 7-point road favorites. They failed to cope with the Pats’ ground game, allowing 173 rushing yards, while the Ravens racked up only 115 in return.
And I say only because Baltimore is the second in the NFL in rushing yards per game (164.0). The Ravens dropped to 6-3 on the season and will continue their battle for the wild-card spot in the AFC.
Lamar Jackson had another mediocre game, tossing for 249 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He carried the ball 11 times for 55 yards, but the Ravens’ passing game is a massive issue in 2020.
Baltimore arguably cannot count on a single solid wideout, so the Ravens are posting only 184.1 passing yards per game (31st). Marquise Brown is a huge disappointment with 32 catches for 431 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while TE Mark Andrews has 33 receptions for 358 yards and five scores.
The Ravens are scoring 27.1 points per game (tied-12th), surrendering just 18.3 in return (1st).
Titans vs. Ravens Betting Pick
Tennessee Titans +7.5-145
The Titans are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games when listed as underdogs of six or more points. They will have a tall task to upset the odds against the best defensive team in the league, but the Titans should have enough firepower to keep it close.
The Ravens’ defense showed its flaws against the Patriots in Week 10. Baltimore is vulnerable on the ground, and the Titans will try to replicate New England’s game plan.
With Derrick Henry in the backfield, Tennessee is capable of beating anybody, so I’m backing the visitors to cover a 7.5-point spread. The Titans’ secondary is a big issue, as well as the Ravens’ passing offense, so I don’t think the hosts will win this one easily.
