Group C of the LoL Worlds 2020 Main Event has been so hard to predict up to this point. I don’t think that anyone expected to see Team SoloMid last in the standings with three defeats and the North Americans are almost out of the competition.

They need to start the last day of the group stage with a win versus Fnatic or it’s pretty much over. The European side has been impressive so far, though, and will be looking to secure another crucial win.

The best team from the LCS 2020 Summer Playoffs was supposed to fight for a spot in the Worlds Playoffs or at least that’s what we expected. Three defeats from three games so far suggest that we were wrong.

Team SoloMid likely needs to win all three games on Saturday to progress and the best way to approach this would be to focus on the next match without thinking about the long-term goal too much.

The opener against Fnatic won’t be easy and the previous clash against the Europeans was among the most entertaining in the competition so far. It could’ve gone either way, but the opponent made better decisions in the late game which was enough.

The strategy of Fnatic made the difference, but TSM looked strong in large periods of the encounter. If the North Americans can transform their pickups in objectives, the outcome could be different this time around.

Winning against TSM was a great start but what really showed how good Fnatic can be was the victory over Gen.G. The Koreans were unbeaten at this point and another win there would’ve likely resulted in the first spot in Group C.

The situation became really complicated instead and Fnatic has a chance to grab the top seed for the playoffs as well. The team has been excellent in terms of macro plays, but there have been some problems in the mid-game.

That’s where the clash against LGD was lost and TSM had plenty of success between the 10^th and 20^th minute as well. Fnatic needs to find better spots for team fights in this period or the opponent might win this time around.

I expect a rather patient approach by both sides and there shouldn’t be too many kills in this one. Fnatic mostly relies on using the map well and finding objectives which is something that TSM tries to do as well.

I expect another tight clash that could go either way and the price of -114 for this game to stay under 26.5 kills makes the most sense to me.
