Stuttgart vs. Bayern Munich Betting Preview – Bundesliga, November 28, 2020
After losing the opening game of the Bundesliga campaign to Freiburg at home, Stuttgart is without a loss in seven matches. They recorded four consecutive draws, including the most recent one with Hoffenheim, thanks to Marc-Oliver Kempf’s injury-time equalizer. Stuttgart now stands in 8th place with 11 points from eight games.
Bayern Munich is in excellent form at the moment despite a 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen at home, the draw that snapped a ten-game winning streak. The Bavarians are cruising in their Champions League group after defeating Salzburg 3-1 in midweek as they secured a place in the knockout stage with four victories in four matches. In Bundesliga, Bayern is currently at the top with 19 points, a point ahead of Dortmund and Leverkusen.

Stuttgart Team News and Stats
Following a 3-3 thriller at Hoffenheim, Stuttgart is one draw away from recording five straight Bundesliga stalemates for the first time since Jan/Feb 1967. Though pre-match underdogs, Stuttgart will never give up without a fight, with Die Schwaben seeing six (42.86%) of their 14 open-play Bundesliga goals scored to date coming in the final 20 minutes.
That has contributed towards their average of 0.80 points recovered per second 45 minutes, from five drawn/lost Bundesliga first halves. On a similar note, Stuttgart trailed at the break in 22 (43.14%) of their 51 prior Bundesliga home H2H duels with Bayern but recovered points on only three occasions (W0, D3, L19).
Pellegrino Matarazzo cannot count on Hamadi Al Ghaddioui, Maxime Awoudja (Achilles tendon), Momo Cisse, Konstantinos Mavropanos (knee), Clinton Mola (hip), and Erik Thommy (elbow).
Bayern Munich Team News and Stats
Though buoyed after winning both halves in midweek against Salzburg (W 3-1), Bayern Munich aims to bounce back after a 1-1 stalemate with Werder Bremen in their previous league match. They know that a strong start will be vital, having led at halftime in ten of their 12 road league victories attained this calendar year, with average halftime winning difference of 2.10 in those ten games.
Further to that first-half dominance across winning road trips, Bayern also found the back of the net between the 31st minute and halftime in each of their last nine wins away from home – scoring ten times in that span. Half of those ten goals scored in that specific period of play proved decisive in the win.
Hans-Dieter Flick will be without Alphonso Davies (ankle), Joshua Kimmich (knee), Bouna Sarr (hip), Niklas Sule, and Corentin Tolisso (muscle), while Lucas Hernandez is questionable with a back injury.
Stuttgart vs. Bayern Munich Pick
Bayern won nine of the previous ten H2H encounters (L1), including the last two, while the Bavarians were victorious in each of the past ten meetings at Mercedes-Benz Arena. The tradition is entirely on Bayern’s side and it looks that Stuttgart’s positive run is coming to an end on Saturday.
It’s worth noting though that Stuttgart scored at least a goal in each of their games this season, while Bayern failed to keep the net intact in the previous six in all competitions. That’s why I am backing the visitors to win with BTTS.
