SK Wyverns vs. Hanwha Eagles Betting Preview – KBO, Thursday, September 10, 2020

The two worst baseball teams in South Korea face each other on Thursday in a clash that brings nothing but the opportunity to restore some pride. The Wyverns have lost eleven in a row and will be hoping to return to winning ways against the Eagles, the only side with a worse record in the standings.
I share my expectations for the upcoming game in this SK Wyverns vs. Hanwha Eagles betting preview. The post features information about the starting pitchers, analysis of both sides, my prediction, and a free betting pick.
Wyverns vs. Eagles Odds
I can’t say I’m too surprised by the SK Wyverns vs. Hanwha Eagles odds. Both teams have been abysmal and the starting pitchers can’t be trusted. It’s hard to predict what’s going to happen, but I still believe there is a good bet in there, as you can see at the end of this preview.
SK Wyverns Team Analysis
I believe that Tuesday’s game against the Heroes sums up the Wyvern’s season so far. The team scored 15 runs and was leading by 10 at some point, but the abysmal pitching let SK down and the fixture ended with a painful defeat.
This has been the case on more than one occasion this year and the team’s defensive stats are just horrible. The Wyverns have allowed almost 60 runs more than any other side in the country and you just can’t win games when you can’t contain the opposition.
It’s hard to expect a drastic improvement on Thursday, based on SK’s starting pitcher. Jong Hoon Park is expected to get the nod. He has a 5.30 ERA and a 1.47 which makes him one of the better options of the team, believe it or not.
Park will face the worst offense in the country, so he might be able to have a decent day at the office, but I wouldn’t count on it too much. On the bright side, the Eagles should struggle to contain the Wyverns too.
Hanwha Eagles Team Analysis
The Eagles had an excellent start of the week, winning twice against the Samsung Lions. The team is still capable of finding some victories thanks to a solid defensive effort.
I don’t think that will be the case against the Wyverns, though. Hanwha’s coaches have listed Ee Whan Kim as their starting pitcher. His performance has been disastrous this season and his stats show a 6.97 ERA and a 1.94 WHIP.
It’s hard to expect anything else but another weak game by Kim, so the offense will have to step up for the Eagles to win this one.
Wyverns vs. Eagles Prediction and Pick
I know that both sides have struggled offensively this season, but the Wyverns had some strong bursts. Considering how bad the starting pitchers for this clash are, the option to go for over 8.5 runs looks tempting and like the best pick available.
