Sheffield United vs. Manchester City – EPL, October 31, 2020
Neither of these two has started the season particularly brightly – and there will be just as much pressure on Manchester City to win at Brammall Lane as Sheffield United on Saturday.
The Blades are yet to pick up a single victory so far and even though this will be seen as a tough fixture, manager Chris Wilder will be feeling the pressure to pick up three points.
Sheffield United vs. Manchester City Odds
Manchester City should be considered favorites to win this game but BetOnline has seemingly disregarded how average the team has looked in its fixtures so far this season. Sheffield United has not been that much better but the odds for a draw look very inviting under the circumstances.
Sheffield United vs. Manchester City Preview
Sheffield United lost another game last weekend, but there was a lot of hope to be taken from the narrow defeat at Anfield. After opening the scoring with a penalty – the first for an away side at the ground in two years – the Blades played some good soccer without being able to finish off its chances.
That lack of composure in front of goal eventually proved decisive as Liverpool came back in the second half. But Chris Wilder will feel as though his players could take a lot from the game. The Premier League is unforgiving of course – and a game against Manchester City up next would not have been ideal.
But this could be the best time for Sheffield United to play City. Pep Guardiola’s side has looked curiously uninterested in a lot of the games this season and starts this game on Saturday in the lower half of the table with just two wins from its five fixtures so far.
It was Phil Foden that spared the blushes last week at the London Stadium, as West Ham managed to take a point from a team that was supposed to come back even stronger this year after relinquishing the title last season. City should be able to turn things around but this game might be tougher than the bookies seem to think.
Sheffield United vs. Manchester City Betting Pick
I’m not completely sure of the draw bet here, but the odds look good considering the way that Manchester City has disappointed so far this season. There have been better performances in the Champions League – but even that extra game in the week may have an effect on City’s chances of coming away from Brammall Lane with a much-needed win.
