Sheffield United vs. Leicester City – EPL, December 6, 2020

It is beginning to look very bad for Sheffield United. After surprising everyone last season, the Blades have looked completely different this year and are yet to win a single game with over a quarter of the season already in the books.

Leicester has started the campaign in a much better way but did surprisingly lose Fulham on Monday. Manager Brendan Rodgers will not tolerate a repeat of that result.

It seems as though the bookmakers expect Sheffield United’s current form to change for the better soon. Although BetOnline doesn’t make the home side the favorite here, the odds for a Leicester win are not as short as I might have imagined. All these prices can be justified, but an away win does seem the most likely at first glance.

Sheffield United vs. Leicester City Match Preview

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has had to deal with far more injuries than last season, but there really is no excuse forgetting ten games into the campaign and only having one point to show for it. Everything is going wrong for the club at the moment, but it needs to turn things around fast.

It is not as though the Blades were terrible against West Brom last time out. Sheffield United actually looked like the better team for large parts of the game but was woefully wasteful with its finishing. You don’t get many chances against the better sides, so the home side will need to be far more deadly on Sunday.

Leicester comes into this one on the back of a surprising defeat of its own. Most fans would have had the Foxes down for a big win at home to Fulham on Monday. But two first-half goals from the Cottagers were enough to beat Brendan Rodgers’ side, who could only manage a late consolation goal.

That made it two defeats in a row after falling to Liverpool the week before. That fixture had been set up as a guide to how Leicester will get on in the title race this season. The Foxes definitely looked second best at Anfield and need to get back to winning ways to consolidate a top-four place.

Sheffield United vs. Leicester City Betting Pick

  • Leicester City to Win

I’m really worried that Sheffield United is going to leave itself far too much to do in the second half of the season. Getting this far in the campaign without a single win is unforgivable, and Leicester will be desperate to get a win against a bottom three team this weekend.
