Youssef En-Nesyri has netted 17 goals in all competitions this term, including four in six Champions League appearances. Needless to say, Dortmund must keep the Moroccan forward quiet on Wednesday.

On the flip side, Borussia Dortmund has only managed to win one of their last six Bundesliga matches, registering two draws and three defeats in that time.

The team’s dismal run has seen BVB slip to sixth in the German top-flight. With eight defeats in 21 league outings this term, Edin Terzic’s side is already 15 points behind Bayern Munich, while hopes of ending the Bavarians’ dominance have vanished for another year.

A mid-season managerial change clearly hasn’t had the desired impact on the team, yet there are still plenty of reasons for Dortmund fans to be optimistic.

Goal-machine Erling Haaland has scored 23 goals in 23 games this term, with six goals in just four UCL appearances. Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho has bagged five goals and four assists since the turn of the year.

It is no secret that Dortmund boasts many of Europe’s brightest young players. However, it will undoubtedly be difficult for them to get the better of in-form Sevilla, especially in Andalusia.

Ultimately, I’m expecting this to be an entertaining encounter. Both sides possess a host of exciting attacking players, meaning there is likely to be no shortage of drama on Wednesday.

Having weighed everything up, I believe the draw is the best bet for this matchup. Sevilla is on an outstanding run, but Dortmund is more than capable of frustrating the Spanish side.
