Serie A Predictions and Top Betting Picks for Round 30 – March 18-20 (2022)
The Derby della Capitale headlines the Round 30 Serie A schedule. When arch-rivals Roma and Lazio do battle at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, the Italian capital will come to a standstill.
Despite what the Rome natives think, the derby might not be the most important match this weekend. With Milan, Napoli, Inter, and Juventus all gunning for the scudetto, Round 30 is destined to have a big impact on the title race.

- Napoli vs. Udinese
- Inter Milan vs. Fiorentina
- Cagliari vs. AC Milan

Join me as I go over my Round 30 Serie A predictions. After covering the featured games, I will provide the rest of my Serie A predictions before sharing my recommended betting picks for Round 30.
AC Milan to Beat Cagliari
AC Milan heads into Round 30 with a three-point lead over second-place Napoli. Thanks to recent wins over Napoli and Inter, along with a draw against Juventus, the Rossoneri remains in control of the title race.
Not only have Stefano Pioli’s men avoided defeat in each of their last seven league games, but they have also lost just one of their previous 11. On top of that, they have kept five clean sheets across their past nine outings.
Earlier in the campaign, Milan thrashed Cagliari 4-1. If the current form of these two sides is anything to go by, the Rossoneri should inflict another heavy defeat on Cagliari.
Juventus to Beat Salernitana
I’m worried that things could get pretty embarrassing for Salernitana on Sunday.
Having lost 17 of their 27 games this season, the Garnets find themselves three points adrift at the bottom of the Serie A standings. Worse still, they have managed to win only one of their last 17 encounters.
Dusan Vlahovic has bagged four goals in nine games since swapping Fiorentina for Juve. Meanwhile, Alvaro Morata has netted three goals across his previous two league matches.
Salernitana has the worst defensive record in the league, having conceded a whopping 63 goals this season. Vlahovic and Morata could have a field day when the Garnets come to town.
Roma and Lazio to Draw
It’s fair to say that Lazio has dominated the Derby della Capitale in recent times. The Eagles have lost just one of their last six meetings with their cross-city foes, securing three victories along the way.
Both sides are in good form, too. Jose Mourinho’s men are currently enjoying an eight-game unbeaten streak, while Maurizio Sarri’s boys have won four of their previous six encounters.
Ultimately, I can see Sunday’s showdown ending in a draw. Neither team will be keen on the idea of losing to their bitter rivals, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they share the spoils this time around.
More Serie A Predictions for Round 30
- Sassuolo to Beat Spezia
- Torino to Beat Genoa
- Napoli to Beat Udinese
- Inter Milan to Beat Fiorentina
- Venezia and Sampdoria to Draw
- Verona to Beat Empoli
- Atalanta to Beat Bologna
I expect Sassuolo, Napoli, and Inter to claim home wins this weekend. Sassuolo faces struggling Spezia, while second-place Napoli and third-place Inter will be looking to close the gap on first-place Milan.
Venezia and Sampdoria have both lost each of their past three matches, meaning they will both be eager to avoid defeat this weekend. That’s why I expect them to play out a draw on Sunday.
I’m also confident that Verona and Atalanta will secure road victories in Round 30. Facing Empoli and Bologna, respectively, Verona and Atalanta look set to enjoy success on their travels.
Best Serie A Round 30 Bets
- Torino vs. Genoa – Under 2.5 Goals (2.00)
- Juventus vs. Salernitana – Juventus to Win and Over 2.5 Goals (1.90)
- Roma vs. Lazio – Both Teams to Score (1.70)
All of Genoa’s previous seven games have produced under 2.5 goals. It is also worth noting that only 12 of Torino’s 28 games this season have dished up more than two goals. Friday’s clash between the teams is destined to be a low-scoring affair.
Juventus is priced at 1.20 to beat Salernitana. Given that Salernitana has the worst defensive record in Serie A, I recommend adding the over 2.5 goals market onto the Juventus win to boost the odds to 1.90.
Finally, the Derby della Capitale is always a lively encounter. I’m backing both teams to score when Roma and Lazio go head-to-head at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
