The 3-0 Seattle Seahawks will look to stay on the winning path in Week 4 of the 2020 NFL season, taking on the 2-1 Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday, October 4.
Although many expect to see the Seahawks cruising through Miami, the Dolphins were victorious in Week 3 and will be keen to prove it wasn’t accidentally. We will see a thrilling battle, so check out the best Seahawks vs. Dolphins betting pick along with key betting tips and the latest odds update.
Seahawks vs. Dolphins Odds
|Seahawks to Win||-290|
|Dolphins to Win||+245|
The Seahawks are listed as firm road favorites for a reason. Their offense has scored 15 touchdowns so far which are the most in the NFL through the first three weeks. Only the Green Bay Packers have scored more points than the Seahawks, so the bookies are looking for a high-scoring affair, setting the totals at 54.0 points.
The Dolphins, on the other side, haven’t impressed thus far, but they showed some signs of improvement in Week 3.
Seattle Seahawks Form
The Seahawks’ offense has been unstoppable, averaging 37.0 points per game through Week 3 while posting 408.0 total yards per contest (8th in the NFL). Russell Wilson is already a runaway MVP fave, throwing for 925 yards, 14 touchdowns, and a pick!
Wilson can count on some tremendous playmakers. Back in Week 2, he tossed a TD pass to five different targets. Tyler Lockett scored three times in a 38-31 victory over Dallas last Sunday, while DK Metcalf has 12 catches for 297 yards and three touchdowns after three appearances in 2020.
However, the Seahawks have some serious defensive issues. They surrender 28.7 points per game (22nd) on a whopping 497.3 total yards (32nd). Last year, the Seahawks’ secondary was one of the worst in football, and the story goes on this season, as Seattle is yielding incredible 430.7 passing yards per contest.
Miami Dolphins Form
The Dolphins lost to the Patriots 21-11 and Bills 31-28 in the first two weeks of the 2020 NFL season, and it’s safe to say that was expected. They took advantage of the first proper opportunity and outlasted the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-13 as 2.5-point road underdogs this past Thursday.
Miami had an excellent game plan, torturing the Jags for 138 rushing yards, while Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 18 of his 20 passing attempts for 160 yards and two touchdowns. The Dolphins did a great defensive job, too, allowing 318 total yards to the Jaguars while defending seven of 10 3rd downs.
Fitzpatrick will get another starting nod in Week 4, no doubt, as he orchestrates the Dolphins’ offense well. Myles Gaskin leads the backfield with 38 totes for 152 yards, while Jordan Howard has only 16 carries for 12 yards, but he scored three times on the ground, as the Dolphins are using him a lot in the red zone.
Seahawks vs. Dolphins Pick
The Seahawks have some serious injury worries, and both RB Chris Carson and S Jamal Adams are doubtful to play. That means the Seahawks will lean on their passing offense even more, while their defense will miss a key player.
Therefore, I’m avoiding the spread. Sticking with the over on the totals. The Dolphins should have enough firepower to drop a few touchdowns on the Seahawks’ D, but they will have an uphill battle against Russell Wilson and Seattle’s receiving corps.
The over is 7-3 in Miami’s last 10 outings, and it is 4-0 in Seattle’s previous four games overall. The Dolphins are 5-2 SU and 6-1 ATS in their last seven meetings with the Seahawks, while the over has hit in three of their previous five head-to-head duels.
