Seattle Seahawks vs. Buffalo Bills – NFL Week 9, 2020
For the first time since 2016, the Seattle Seahawks will take on the Buffalo Bills, as the NFL betting action continues with Week 9 matchups.
The Seahawks have just returned to the winning path and will look to stay on it when they visit Bills Stadium on Sunday, November 8. On the other side, Buffalo will search for its third straight victory, so we’ll see a great battle between two interconference foes.
I’ve prepared all the team stats and news along with the best Seahawks vs. Bills betting pick, so let’s take a closer look.
Seahawks vs. Bills Odds
The Seahawks opened as slight 2.5-point favorites with a total of 54.0 points, and I don’t expect to see any dramatic changes. The totals could vary a bit, so keep tracking the odds update on some of the best online sportsbooks.
Seattle is the most efficient team in the league, but the Seahawks’ defense is one of the worst in the NFL. I think the over backers will jump on this one early.
Seattle Seahawks Form
The Seahawks bounced back from a 37-34 loss at Arizona in Week 7 with a convincing 37-27 home victory over San Francisco this past Sunday. They easily improved to 6-1 on the season and retain the leading spot in the NFC West.
Russell Wilson tortured the Niners for 261 yards and four touchdowns. The Seahawks had a 20-point lead at the end of the third quarter, while D.K. Metcalf finished the contest with 12 receptions for 161 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Seattle is scoring 34.3 points per game while racking up 414.4 total yards per contest (3rd in the NFL). However, the Seahawks are yielding 28.4 points per game (24th) on a whopping 460.9 total yards (32nd).
RB Chris Carson sat out Week 8 clash against the 49ers due to a foot injury. He’s questionable to play against the Bills, as well as safety Jamal Adams and RB Carlos Hyde.
Buffalo Bills Form
The Bills didn’t impress in a 24-21 home victory over New England in Week 8, but they improved to 6-2 on the season. Buffalo remains the leading team in the AFC East, searching for its first divisional crown since 1995.
Thanks to a recovered fumble with 31 seconds left on the clock, the Bills sealed the win over the Pats. They surprisingly ran for 190 yards and converted all three red-zone attempts, while Josh Allen finished with just 11 passes completed for 154 yards and a TD.
Allen scored once on his own, too, and had 10 carries for 23 yards. The Bills finally get things going on the ground, as they are 20th in the league in rushing yards per contest (108.6).
Buffalo is scoring 24.8 points per game (19th) while yielding 24.9 in a return (15th).
Seahawks vs. Bills Pick
The Seahawks’ run D is doing a good job, allowing the eighth-fewest yards per game, but their secondary is simply horrible. Therefore, the Bills will look to take full advantage of it, especially if they have to play with the negative script.
On the other side, the Seahawks’ offense looks terrifying even with RB Chris Carson on the shelf. Russell Wilson has been playing in a terrific form since the opening week, so I don’t trust the Bills’ defense to slow down Seattle.
Therefore, I’m betting on the over that has hit in nine straight encounters between the Seahawks and Bills dating back to 1995.
