Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals Betting – NFL Week 7, 2020

The Seattle Seahawks are coming from a bye week are entering the tilt against the Arizona Cardinals as favorites after winning all five games so far. Seattle is one of three teams in the NFL with a perfect record, and the only side in the NFL with a 100% win rate. They beat Atlanta, New England, Dallas, Miami, and Minnesota to get to a 5-0 record. Interestingly, the last four victories came by a margin of eight points or less.

On the other side, the Arizona Cardinals snapped a two-game losing skid with a big road victory over the disappointing New York Jets and improved to a 3-2 record with a game in hand that will be played on Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys. That being said, the Cards will have a chance to climb up to a 4-2 record before they face the Seahawks next Sunday. Here is my Seahawks vs. Cardinals betting prediction.

Seahawks vs. Cardinals Odds

Seahawks -3-110
Cardinals +3-110
Seahawks to win-169
Cardinals to win+145
Over 53.5-110
Under 53.5-110

Third-Quarter Heroics Help the Seahawks to Beat the Vikings

The Seattle Seahawks were on the verge of losing their first game of the campaign as they trailed 13-0 at halftime to the Minnesota Vikings at home. However, they scored three touchdowns in less than two minutes midway through the third quarter, and even though Adam Thielen restored Minnesota’s lead with a pair of scores, DK Metcalf set the final score, 27-26, with only 15 seconds to go after he grabbed a pass from Russell Wilson. The Vikings deserved to win as they totaled 449 yards opposite Seattle’s 314 and recorded even 31 first downs opposite the Seahawks’ 18, but it wasn’t meant to be.

Russell Wilson completed 20 of 32 passes for three touchdowns and one interception, while he also added 58 yards on five carries. Chris Carson had 52 rushing yards and a touchdown on eight carries, while DK Metcalf led all the receivers with 93 yards and a couple of TDs on six receptions. Cody Barton and Bobby Wagner dominated on defense with 14 tackles each.

The Seahawks are the best team in the NFL when it comes to the offense with 33.8 points per game, 6th in passing yards (280.4), 17th in rushing yards (115.4), while they have the 18th defense that allows 27.0 points per contest.

Cardinals Allow Season-Low Ten Points in Win Over Jets

The Arizona Cardinals displayed their best performance of the season in a 30-10 road victory over the New York Jets. They limited the rivals to only three points in the first half, while they were dangerous from both the air and on the ground, collecting nearly 500 yards opposite the Jets’ 285.

Kyler Murray completed 27 of 37 passes for 380 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, while he also added a rushing TD. DeAndre Hopkins was a dominant force in the air as he caught six passes for 131 yards and a touchdown. Kenyan Drake led the runners with 60 yards and a TD on 18 carries. Once again, safety Budda Baker was the best defensive individual with ten tackles (eight solos) and one sack.

The Cardinals are the 18th team in the NFL when it comes to the offense with 25.6 points per game, 15th in passing yards (254.4), 5th in rushing yards (141.0), while they have the 8th defense that allows 20.4 points per contest.

Seahawks vs. Cardinals Pick

Each of Seattle’s games so far in the season was very interesting and efficient, and although that wasn’t the case in H2H duels in recent years, I am backing a high-scoring affair on Sunday. The Seahawks’ offense is unstoppable at the moment, and given the Cardinals also have a potent offense with several weapons such as Hopkins, Drake, and Murray, we could have a classic shootout here. I am going against the betting trends in this game as none of the previous six H2H duels produced more than 51 points, but this season is something else.
