Seahawks vs. Washington Player Props for Monday Night Football – Week 12, 2021

| November 29, 2021 8:05 am PDT

The Seattle Seahawks are on their last leg as they enter their week 12 Monday Night Football tilt with the Washington Football Team.

Seattle likely needs to win out if they have any hopes of making a playoff run. That won’t be easy, as they have to head to D.C. in front of the nation and try to slow down the Football Team.

Russell Wilson has not looked like himself since returning from a finger injury, but can you trust him enough to bet on his player props at the top NFL betting sites?

For advice on betting on Wilson and more, let’s break down my favorite week 12 Monday Night Football player prop bets.

Russell Wilson Over 243.5 Passing Yards (-120)

I am not going to go out on a limb and predict the Seahawks will win this game. However, this is the best matchup Wilson has seen since his return to the lineup, and he’s got to get it going at some point.

Whether he does it playing catch-up late, or slices up Washington early, I love his chances of topping this low passing yardage total.

There are three key reasons to buy Wilson right now.

Why Wilson is Worth Betting On
  • Chris Carson is on IR
  • Washington’s Pass Defense is Vulnerable
  • Wilson is Better Than This

Carson being placed on injured reserve permanently leaves Seattle’s rushing attack with spare parts.

That puts the onus on Seattle’s passing game thriving, while it also plays into the superior matchup with Washington ranking second to last in passing touchdowns allowed.

The Football Team has also given up 2,800 yards through the air, and Seattle has two explosive weapons in DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett to work with. Simply put, this passing game can’t stay grounded forever, and I think Wilson and co. pop off in this one.

Antonio Gibson Over 9.5 Receiving Yards (-120)

This is one of my favorite week 12 Monday Night Football player props. I know, J.D. McKissic is the pass-catcher Washington usually confides in, but it doesn’t take much for Gibson if he can get a catch or two.

The kid has certainly been getting it done as a whole lately. Remember what he did to the Buccaneers two weeks ago?

Gibson isn’t as involved in Washington’s passing game as you’d like, but before his last game, he’d still seen multiple targets in every single game in 2021. He turned that respectable role into 2+ catches eight different times, too.

In those situations, Gibson found a way to top this exact receiving yardage total on six occasions. I don’t think it’s the lock to end all locks, but Gibson is an explosive player and a fine receiver. If he gets his usual 2-3 targets, I think he can get this prop to fall.

DK Metcalf Over 63.5 Receiving Yards (-113)

This is the best total and odds I’ve seen at the best NFL sportsbooks, but feel free to shop around. I like Wilson to get it going in this matchup, so you can target a similar wager for Tyler Lockett.

Heck, there should be enough meat on the bone for both of these guys to deliver.

Metcalf has simply been the more consistent performer historically. Lockett offers more upside for some reason, but Metcalf can get this yardage in one play, and he’s hit on this mark four times in 2021.

Washington will have their hands full with both of these guys, and keeping either one in check is asking a lot. I just think Metcalf is a bit more explosive, so I’ll roll with him here.

My Top Monday Night Football Prop for Week 12

Pick
  • Russell Wilson Over 1.5 TDs
    -115

My favorite prop bet for Monday Night Football is Wilson tossing two scores. Washington has had issues against the pass, but they’ve really had problems keeping passes out of the end-zone.

I know Seattle hasn’t looked good, but keep in mind that they’re now facing a Washington defense that lost star pass rusher Chase Young for the season.

If Wilson and company are going to wake up, this is the setting for them to do it.

Whether they win or not, their clearest path to competing and putting up points is through Wilson rediscovering his magic.
