Safest NFL Bets for Week 8 of the NFL Season

Week 8 used to be the midway point of the season, but now we have an additional week on the schedule. Nonetheless, we are just about to enter the second half of the NFL season. This is where the games become even more important. Some teams are going to stand out, while the others will have to start preparing for the draft and their future.
Last week had a good amount of blowout wins, but this week looks to feature some closer games. That means we might have some unlikely winners, making it hard to have safe bets for this week.
We still have a handful of teams who should be able to take care of their Week 8 opponents. Let’s get into the Safest Bets for Week 8 of the NFL Season, with odds courtesy of BetOnline.
Cincinnati Bengals (-450)
How good does the Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase LSU connection look right now?

The Bengals drew a lot of criticism for taking Chase over Penei Sewell, but they look to have made the right decision. Chase has been one of the best receivers in the league let alone his draft class.
The Bengals also draw the Jets for opponents this week and their rookie quarterback Zach Wilson is going to be out for 2-4 weeks after his strained PCL against the Patriots. The Jets weren’t even that good with Wilson in the lineup and the Bengals are hot coming off their huge divisional win over the Ravens.
The moneyline isn’t the prettiest, but I could see betting on the spread in their favor for better odds. An alternate spread of -6.5 should be doable as well.
Buffalo Bills -13.5 (-110)
The Bills will be coming off a bye to face the Dolphins. The Dolphins do not look like the team they were last season, as they seem allergic to winning now. They are on a mean 6 game losing streak, including losses to the Jaguars and Falcons in the past two weeks.
The Bills should be able to win this game if everything goes according to plan. The Dolphins may keep it close and may make the spread a little risky, but I would feel comfortable betting on the Bills to cover around -9.5 if you can use an alternate spread.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers -5 (-110)
The Bucs are coming off an easy win over the Bears, which featured Tom Brady’s 600th career touchdown pass. Brady is having an incredible season and is cementing himself into “the best ever” conversation.
Jameis Winston will be looking to have himself a revenge game against the team that took him No. 1 overall in 2015 as well. He has been very inconsistent so far on the year, having two games with 4+ touchdowns and 3 games with 1 or less touchdowns. He also is not passing the ball a ton in the Saints offense, averaging 23.2 passing attempts per game through 5 weeks.
I expect the Bucs to be able to cover the -5 spread, but you could also take their moneyline if you feel safer doing that.
Los Angeles Rams -14.5 (-110)
Tough schedule for the Texans, as they matched up with the undefeated Cardinals last week and now the Rams. This season is looking to be a wash for the Texans, as they are probably more focused on trying to trade away Deshaun Watson than win any games.
With that being said, the Texans kept their previous game with the Cardinals (who were 20.5 point favorites) relatively close before losing their grip in the second half. They were also blown out by the Colts the previous week, so they might be in for another long game.
I would expect the Rams to win this one comfortably, but the spread being at exactly two touchdowns makes it a little weird. I would consider buying a point or two in order to give yourself some insurance in this game, as the Rams should still be able to win pretty easily.
Betting of the NFL in Week 8
As you probably already have experienced this year, betting on the NFL is not exactly easy. That is why you should look for the most reliable teams to bet on each week. These 4 picks should be the safest you could get this week and make some money off of.
