It’s ironic that Roman Reigns returned after a long break for last year’s SummerSlam, and John Cena is doing the same in 2021. There’s a big difference, though, because of the age and the long-term plans of both wrestlers.

Reigns is here to stay, and his star power has grown more than ever in the past year or so. He became so big that WWE struggled to think of a worthy challenge for SummerSlam 2021 and had to bring Cena back.

The most logical outcome of this clash would be a win for Roman Reigns. He’s the present of the WWE, and there are rumors about a match versus the Rock at WrestleMania 39.

And yet, the organization has to figure out what happens before we get there. Most people expect a victory for Reigns at SummerSlam 2021 and several matches against different opponents before the Show of Shows.

I believe that a different scenario might be on the cards. We know for a fact that Cena is going away soon, most likely right after the upcoming PPV.

The question is if he can ride to the sunset after winning one last title? That would open the door to a potential continuation of the feud in the near future and add some adversity to Reigns’ path.

The most logical outcome of this match is a victory for Roman Reigns, and that’s the sensible prediction too. The problem is that the odds for the champion to retain the belt are way too low to represent any value.

At the same time, a win for John Cena is not completely out of the question. I believe that a small wager on the returning veteran is the best betting pick for this match.
