Real Madrid responded to losses to Cadiz and Shakhtar Donetsk with a big 3-1 road victory over eternal rivals Barcelona, and then came from a 2-0 deficit in the Champions League against Borussia Monchengladbach to earn a late draw. Los Galacticos are in second place in LaLiga with 13 points after six games, one behind Real Sociedad.

Huesca, on the other hand, will likely fight for relegation this season if we can judge at the start of the campaign. They are only one of two teams (Valladolid) without a win in the opening seven rounds, and following four draws in a row, they lost 4-1 to Sociedad on the road. Huesca is currently in the 18th position with five points.

Real Madrid’s midweek UEFA Champions League draw (2-2) marked the first time since October 2018 that the reigning LaLiga champions failed to win three competitive matches in a row when starting as the favorite (D1, L2). With the two losses, both at the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium, returning to their temporary home seems to be of little comfort.

Allowing the first goal in the opening 35 minutes in all three games, Real Madrid continues to shoot themselves in the foot with slow starts, having secured only one halftime lead and therefore one HT/FT double in all 2020/21 competitions. With the team to score first winning all but one of their previous seven LL/UCL matches, turning such first-half form around is of vital importance.

Zinedine Zidane cannot count on Daniel Carvajal (knee), Mariano Diaz, Nacho (thigh), Martin Odegaard (muscle), and Alvaro Odriozola (calf).

Regarding the previous statements, Madrid will be relieved to be welcoming the team that has opened the scoring fewer than any other in this LaLiga campaign. Huesca did so just once (D1), with three of their four opening goals allowed falling in the 31st-45th minute span (including stoppage-time).

To their credit, Huesca notched up three equalizers throughout the season at all venues, with two of them on the road, but with only two second-half away goals this LaLiga term, Huesca is surely lacking the firepower required to become the first side to score against Real Madrid in the second half this LaLiga season.

Michel will be without Pedro Lopez (muscle), Mikel Rico (illness), while Shinji Okazaki is questionable with a muscle injury.

Real Madrid won both H2H encounters so far, and I am backing them to win another one as I don’t believe Huesca will record its first victory of the season against the reigning champions on the road. With Eden Hazard back from an injury, Madrid has more options in the attack, and I am pretty sure they will be in the mood for goals on Saturday. I am backing the hosts to cover a -1.5 spread at excellent odds after failing to do so in the previous two home matches this season in LaLiga.
