There’s plenty of Premier League action this weekend, with some really exciting Gameweek 13 matchups taking place on Sunday, November 28. The EPL games that caught my eye are the following:

    • Burnley vs. Tottenham
    • Manchester City vs. West Ham
    • Chelsea vs. Manchester United

If you too think these should be real thrillers, you better keep on reading. I will now analyze all three games in detail, share my betting tips with you, and even reveal one special bet I’m planning to make on Sunday.

Sounds good? If so, let’s start!

Tottenham to Beat Burnley

After leading Tottenham in only 17 games, Nuno Espirito Santo got sacked on the first day of November. Soon after, Antonio Conte was put in charge with hopes of instilling a winning mentality among the Spurs.

The new era started with him banning ketchup and mayo in order to deal with the weight issues of his players. Conte also made them work harder in practice and focus on tactics more than usual. Did it work? So-so.

Some four weeks after inking the Spurs deal, Conte’s record is 2-1-1. This may not seem too bad, but Tottenham’s most recent game was a humbling defeat.

It happened on Thursday when the Spurs lost 2-1 to Mura in the Europa Conference League. If you’ve never heard of this team, no one can blame you – Mura is a Slovenian team from a town that has just over 11,000 residents.

Mura’s annual budget accounts for just six weekly salaries of Tottenham’s highest-paid player, Harry Kane.

There’s a silver lining to the Mura loss. Tottenham’s captain (and arguably their best player) Harry Kane, scored his first goal for Tottenham since October 17. This, however, doesn’t mean he’s been going through a goal drought. Kane has been scoring plenty of goals, just not for Tottenham.

While playing for England, the striker put away a total of seven goals in the two games he played earlier in November. Obviously, he still has it. He just needs to start scoring for his club. The good news is that the Burnley vs. Tottenham game seems like an ideal opportunity for that.

It’s because Burnley is one of Kane’s favorite victims. There’s no other player in the Premier League who’s scored more goals against Burnley than the Tottenham captain (9 goals).

Manchester City to Beat West Ham

Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe – these three played for PSG’s against Manchester City last Wednesday but failed to do much. Mbappe did score but that wasn’t enough for his team to take any points from their trip to North England. Man City took all three points, winning the game 2-1.

If they were able to beat a team with such superstars, West Ham have nothing to hope for against the Sky Blues. Or do they? The Hammers did knock them out from the Carabao Cup a month ago.

Unfortunately for West Ham, there’s an explanation for why they won. First of all, they beat Man City after penalties in which all of West Ham’s shooters hit the target. A possible reason why that happened is that City had backup Zach Steffen between the posts.

Why did Pep Guardiola let a backup goalie play? Because he didn’t care much about the Carabao Cup. Instead, the Man City boss has set his eyes on the two major trophies, the Champions League and the Premier League.

The latter is currently in their possession, but it seems Chelsea is determined to take it away. The London Blues currently have three points more than them, meaning that if Man City want to get to the top of the Premier League table, they need to continue winning.

Chelsea to Beat Manchester United

Sunday’s Chelsea vs. Manchester United game will be the first Premier League game since December 22, 2018, in which Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer isn’t at the helm of the Red Devils. The club legend got sacked last week.

Another legendary Manchester United player was put in charge, albeit only temporarily. The man in question is Michael Carrick, a former defensive midfielder who retired in 2018.

For three years, Carrick worked as a coach at Man United, meaning that he knows these players, their virtues and flaws. What he might not be an expert at is tactics, which explains why the Red Devils plan to keep him in charge only for the time being.

Still, Carrick’s era did start well – his team beat Villarreal in the Champions League on Tuesday. The score was 2-0, although the Spanish team had significantly more chances. The Red Devils were okay with the opposition having the ball, focusing on counter-attacks and set-pieces in return.

That strategy worked against Villarreal but will it work against Chelsea? I don’t think so.

First of all, it’s because Chelsea is a much stronger opponent than Villarreal. After all, the Blues are the reigning champions of the Champions League. Secondly, Chelsea has a fantastic defense that seems capable of outsmarting any opposition.

I’m not saying this without proof – Chelsea is the team that’s conceded the fewest goals in the Premier League. They’ve allowed only four goals in 12 games played this season. Guess how many goals have the Red Devils conceded? The answer is 21!

Picks for the Remaining EPL Games on Sunday

    • Everton to Beat Brentford
    • Leicester to Beat Watford

Although Brentford has a reputation of a giant-slayer, the fact is that the player quality is on Everton’s side. When it comes to Watford, the Hornets did beat Manchester United (which effectively ended Solskjaer’s reign), but they surely cannot do anything similar again.

Top Betting Tips for Sunday’s Premier League Games

Tottenham to Beat Burnley2.05
Manchester City to Beat West Ham1.30
Chelsea to Beat Manchester United1.533

I found the odds at 888sport, an online sportsbook that will let you parlay these three bets, in which case, the cumulative odds would be around 4.08.

Another thing you can do at this sportsbook is use the option Bet Builder. Personally, I would use this feature for the Burnley vs. Tottenham game. What I would do is ‘build’ the following bet – Tottenham to win & Harry Kane to score anytime.

The odds on this bet are 2.80, and you can bet on it as a single or put it together with other bets in a parlay.
