It’s been nearly two weeks since the previous Premier League round. If the wait has made you hungry for soccer betting, there are plenty of awesome matches to satisfy your desire in Gameweek 12.

On Saturday, eight Premier League games will take place, including the following:

    • Leicester City vs. Chelsea
    • Watford vs. Manchester United
    • Liverpool vs. Arsenal

Those three games are the ones I will now analyze in detail, dissecting the odds, news, stats, and so on. I will also present you with my Premier League predictions and share my top betting tips.

Chelsea to Beat Leicester City

Two weekends ago, we saw both Leicester City and Chelsea playing a draw against underdogs. Leicester played 1-1 with Leeds; the exact same score happened in the Chelsea vs Burnley game.

The draw with Burnley meant the end of Chelsea’s fabulous run of seven straight wins in all competitions. Four of those wins happened in the Premier League, which helped the Blues get to the top of the table. They still remain there, with three points clear ahead of Gameweek 12.

However, there are two teams that could take over the #1 spot in the Premier League this weekend – Manchester City and West Ham. This is why beating Leicester City is a priority for the Blues.

Knowing that this team’s conceded only four goals in 11 Premier League rounds, it’s safe to say that they don’t need to worry about defense. What they need to worry about is scoring.

Sure, Chelsea has already scored 27 goals this season, which makes them the second-most productive offense in the Premier League. However, the Blues have been struggling with injuries among their attackers.

Kai Havertz, who’s a midfielder by trade, had to play the role of the sole striker in Chelsea’s clash with Burnley. He did do his job right, scoring one goal, but that wasn’t enough.

The good news for Chelsea is that two of their key strikers are back in training. Both Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner were spotted on the training ground during the practice for the Leicester game.

One final reason why Chelsea should be able to outscore Leicester City is that the Foxes have been very disappointing at the back, with 18 goals conceded. There are only four teams that have allowed more.

Manchester United to Beat Watford

Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer remains the boss of Manchester United but his position is far from secure. In fact, he’s one of the main favorites to win the sack race.

The reason is that the Red Devils have suffered an embarrassing start of the season, culminating with a humiliating 5-0 defeat to Liverpool four weeks ago. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end.

We saw them losing again in the previous round of the Premier League, when their city rivals, Manchester City, beat them 2-0.

As a result, Man United is now in the #6 position in the table, with six points fewer than the table leader Chelsea. A win over Watford could lift them one spot above. Not winning on Saturday could potentially mean dropping all the way to the #13 spot.

They surely have the manpower to win this game, even though they will be without Paul Pogba (red card) and Raphael Varane (injury).

They’re taking on one of the main relegation candidates, a team that’s also ridden with injuries. Four of Watford’s first-team players are injured, while one player (Juraj Kucka) is suspended.

Liverpool to Beat Arsenal

Liverpool’s superb run has finally come to an end. In the previous Premier League round, the Reds suffered their first loss since early April 2021.

They lost 3-2 to West Ham in a game in which they were the dominant side. Here are some stats that show that Liverpool deserved to get at least a point from their trip to the English capital:

    • Liverpool had the ball in their possession for 69% of the game
    • They had 16 goal attempts; West Ham had seven
    • Six of Liverpool’s first-team players were out due to injuries
    • Liverpool’s goalie Alisson scored an own goal in that game

The same scenario probably isn’t going to happen this Saturday. One of the reasons is that the game is played at Anfield, where the Reds are without a loss since the fans have returned to the stands.

Furthermore, Liverpool is without a home defeat to Arsenal since 2012 when the Gunners won 2-0. What’s interesting is that the current Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta played all 90 minutes in that game. Speaking of the devil, the Spanish manager has been pretty impressive at Arsenal’s helm.

Arteta’s boys are without a single loss in 11 games in all competitions. However, the fact is that the Gunners’ schedule hasn’t been too harsh. In fact, the toughest opponents they faced so far are Chelsea and Manchester City.

How did they do in those games? They lost both of them.

Betting Picks for the Other EPL Games on Saturday

    • Aston Villa and Brighton to Draw
    • Burnley and Crystal Palace to Draw
    • Newcastle to Beat Brentford
    • Southampton to Beat Norwich
    • West Ham to Beat Wolves

Both Aston Villa and Brighton are having injury problems with some of their key players expected to miss Saturday’s game. Therefore, we shouldn’t expect either team to charge toward the opposition goal too much. That’s why I think the most likely scenario is that we’ll see a draw.

I can also see a draw happening in the game between Burnley and Crystal Palace. The hosts are great in defending, but not in the offense. It’s almost the opposite when it comes to the visitors.

When it comes to Newcastle vs. Brentford game, I think it’s time for the Magpies to record their first win of the season. Not only are they playing in front of their own fans, but they’re also taking on a team that’s decimated by injuries – Brentford could end up playing without eight first-team players.

I also expect Southampton to win, the reason being that their players are much better than those of Norwich.

Finally, in the Wolves vs. West Ham game, I expect an away win. Although it’s not going to be an easy one, the Hammers will be super motivated to win. After all, they have a chance to get to the top of the Premier League table.
