Predictions and Best Bets for UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Holland – March 20, 2021

| March 19, 2021 11:19 am PDT

I’m looking forward to sharing my UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Holland predictions and picks with you today.

Now, it’s not my job to sell the bouts scheduled for this Saturday, March 20. Dana White and the promotion’s promo team in Las Vegas are responsible for that. But let me start by saying that, while this card is far from a glamorous one, it does have some really good fights to bet on this weekend.

If you’re looking to make money betting on Brunson vs. Holland online, and/or the rest of the clashes on the card, the content below could help.

I have made predictions and betting picks for Derek Brunson vs. Kevin Holland in the main event, as well as the other fights on the card. Even better, I have picked out the top bets to place on UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Holland as well as a few sweet sleepers to get on.

Let’s start with my Holland vs. Brunson pick and go from there.

Holland to Beat Brunson by KO/TKO

Let’s start things off with my prediction and pick for Holland vs. Brunson.

As you’ve already gathered, I’m taking Kevin Holland to win by KO/TKO. Furthermore, I believe “Trail Blazer” has what it takes to beat the 37-year-old in the first round, and end another middleweight contest with a bang.

If you’re unfamiliar with wagering on UFC fights, I’d recommend taking a look at our dedicated guide to betting on UFC. You will benefit from a wide range of gambling content designed to help you win your bets on UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Holland as well as every other card and event coming up.

If you’re gambling on Brunson vs. Holland to win real money, but are unfamiliar with both, here’s the tale of the tape.

77” Reach 81”

Holland’s superior striking, relative youth, and red-hot form over the past twelve months are just a few of the advantages that should swing this fight in his favor.

I’ll get to my UFC Fight Night bets for this Saturday after we have looked at all my predictions for the Brunson vs. Holland card. But let’s just say that there is a solid bet on Brunson vs. Holland that you don’t want to miss out on.

Next up, my prediction Gregor Gillespie vs. Brandon Riddell.

Gillespie to Beat Riddell by Decision

It didn’t take long for me to settle on my Gillespie vs. Riddell betting pick.

I’m taking Gillespie to win by decision in what will be his first UFC bout since being knocked out by Kevin Holland in November 2019. That loss was the first of Gillespie’s professional run, and he will be keen to get back in the win column this Saturday in Las Vegas.

Gillespie is a tremendous athlete. His grappling is high level, which will ask a lot of the powerful Kiwi.

This fight is by no means a walk in the park for the UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Holland co-main favorite. Gillespie will need to hit the ground running in his return to the Octagon, and shake off significant cage rust. More than this, he will be looking to rebound off his first loss with a big performance.

Will these factors in the fight? They very well could. But I’m backing “The Gift” to get the job done by way of submission.

Let’s move on to my next prediction for the Brunson vs. Holland card.

Mayes to Beat Tuivasa by Decision

Well, online MMA betting sites have Tai Tuivasa as the favorite to win his fight with Don’Tale Mayes.

But I’m not so sure.

Yes, Tuivasa can bang. He won his first eight fights by 1st round stoppage. Still, he is 3-3 from his last six fights and has only won two of those three by KO/TKO.

Is there an argument here that Tuivasa’s reputation for being a merciless KO artist is based on past accomplishments? Yup. Sure, he knocked out Stefan Struve in his last bout, but Ben Rothwell can also lay claim to stopping the lanky Dutchman.

Mayes is by no means an elite-level heavyweight. He is solid, however, and has a very robust chin. If he can absorb the shots of the Australian, he can grind out a decision win.

We have more UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Holland predictions and picks to look at. So, let’s move on to

Yanez to Beat Lopez by KO/TKO

Adrian Yanez vs. Gustavo Lopez sounds like a lot of fun.

Making my betting pick for Yanez vs. Lopez feels a tiny bit deflating, as I would like to see both guys doing well in this one. But, if you are gambling on UFC fights online, it’s best to leave sentimental stuff at the door. Especially if you have designs of making money on the fights.

Anyway, the first of my predictions for Yanez vs. Lopez is that it will be an all-out war fought on the feet. Both men will be looking for the stoppage, which means going for the fighter that has the advantages in power, speed, and durability.

Although there is not a great deal to separate these guys, Lopez has been on fire recently and I have to give him the nod.

Will Lopez to beat Yanez feature in my top bets for Brunson vs. Holland and the rest of the fights this Saturday?

Let’s cover the rest of my predictions and picks for the UFC this weekend and I’ll let you know.

Griffin to Beat Song by Decision

If you’re looking to get your bets on UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Holland this weekend, Kenan Song vs. Max Griffin is sure to be one for the thrill seeker.

Both guys have serious pop and will be looking to make this one a spectator-friendly bruise-fest. My initial betting pick for Griffin vs. Song was a decision win for Max, and I’m sticking to that.

Although this one could easily end inside the distance, I think Griffin is the better all-rounder. As such, he will be taking a slightly more cerebral attitude with him into the cage. This doesn’t mean that he won’t throw his cards down when an opportunity to hunt for the KO presents itself. It does, however, mean that he will be more careful in choosing when to pull the trigger.

Regardless, I’m looking forward to this fight.

Ruiz to Beat Buys by Submission

Cheyanne Buys squares off with Montserrat Ruiz in a clash of the debutants at women’s strawweight.

From what I have seen from both ladies, it’s hard to pinpoint the better prospect. The keys to this clash are experience and composure, so it will likely come down to who can hit the ground running in front of the cameras.

Ruiz is a slightly smaller fighter. She gives up three inches in height as well as two inches in reach. Still, she is not technically weaker by any means.

I’m predicting a submission win for the Mexican on the night. I believe she has the tools to cause Buys trouble on the feet as well as on the floor, and can see her locking in for an impressive finish in her UFC debut.

UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Holland Best Bets

Holland to Beat Brunson -175
Gillespie to Beat Riddell -250
Avila to Beat Stoliarenko -350

The first of my best bets for UFC Fight Night this Saturday is Holland to win in the main event.

I like Holland’s odds to beat Brunson and can see this one ending pretty early. Take Holland at -175 for the win.

You read my Gillespie vs. Riddell betting pick earlier. So, it should come as no surprise to see him named as one of the top bets for UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Holland.

Avila to Beat Stoliarenko is another bet to look at.

Top Sleepers for the Brunson vs. Holland Card

Ruiz to Beat Buys +240
Mayes to Beat Tuivasa +175
Reneau to Beat Chiasson +162

I’ve got three Brunson vs. Holland sleepers for you to check out.

The first of the three is Ruiz to beat Buys in the opening fight of the prelims. It’s a great price to take on a fight that should be very close. A lot closer than the bookies have it, that’s for sure.

I like Mayes’ to beat Tuivasa. He has the chin and the mettle to stick it out and take the win on the scorecards.

Finally, Reneau to beat Chiasson is a sleeper for UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Holland that I think could make a lot of bettors happy this weekend.
