The only unbeaten team in the NFL is coming to M&T Bank Stadium when the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the AFC North rivals Baltimore Ravens with hopes of extending the perfect record to seven games. Pittsburgh survived the biggest test of the season as they secured a narrow road win over the Tennessee Titans, but this clash with the Ravens will be an even tougher matchup for them. They are at the top of the AFC North and the entire conference with a 6-0 record.

The Baltimore Ravens, on the other hand, responded to a home loss to the reigning champions Kansas City Chiefs with three consecutive wins. The most recent one over the Philadelphia Eagles on the road was tight, but the Ravens improved to a 5-1 record, and now are looking to beat the Steelers and overtake them at the summit of the AFC North. Have a look at my Steelers vs. Ravens betting preview.

Steelers Survived a Late Comeback From the Titans

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 6-0 for the first time since 1978 after defeating the unbeaten Tennessee Titans on their own turf, but it wasn’t easy even though it seemed to be following the opening half. Pittsburgh had a 24-7 lead at halftime but the Titans responded well in the second half and kept the Steelers to just three points. However, Stephen Gostkowski missed the game-tying field goal with only 15 seconds to go, and the Steelers won 27-24. The Steelers were better in total yards (362-292) and first downs (23-15) but committed three turnovers opposite Tennessee’s zero, which put the hosts back in the game.

Ben Roethlisberger completed 32 of 49 passes for 268 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions. Both of his TD passes went to Diontae Johnson, who finished the game with nine receptions for 80 yards. JuJu Smith-Schuster led the Steelers in receiving yards with 85 on nine receptions, while James Conner had 82 rushing yards on 20 carries. Linebacker Vince Williams dominated on defense with ten tackles (nine solos) and one sack.

The Steelers are the 6th team in the NFL when it comes to the offense with 30.5 points per game, 23rd in passing yards (229.0), 11th in rushing yards (129.7), while they have the 7th defense that allows 19.7 points per contest.

Ravens Were Lucky Enough to Escape From Philly With a Win

The Baltimore Ravens experienced a similar game like Pittsburgh, and they also managed to escape with a narrow victory on the road. The Ravens beat the Philadelphia Eagles 30-28, but it could go either way if Carson Wentz converted a two-point attempt late in the fourth quarter. Baltimore had a convincing 17-0 lead at halftime but allowed even 28 points in the second 30 minutes, and was very lucky not to suffer the second defeat of the season.

Lamar Jackson completed 16 of 27 passes for 186 yards and one touchdown, while he also added 108 yards and another TD on nine carries. Nick Boyle caught that lone passing touchdown, while Marquise Brown ended the tilt with 57 yards on four receptions. Calais Campbell had a monstrous game with three sacks, while his defensive teammates combined for three more. Cornerback Marlon Humphrey contributed with eight tackles and one sack.

The Ravens are the 8th team in the NFL when it comes to the offense with 29.8 points per game, 31st in passing yards (177.8), 1st in rushing yards (164.3), while they have the best defense that allows 17.3 points per contest.

Steelers vs. Ravens Prediction and Pick

The Ravens are coming off a bye week and they will be more prepared for this crucial divisional encounter, but the Steelers will have their chances to get a win and maintain a perfect record. Pittsburgh has the second-best defense against rushing, so it’s going to be interesting to see whether the Ravens change their game plan if the running doesn’t work. Still, I expect to see a lot of running from the hosts and not a lot of points on the scoreboard, so I am going with Under in this one. Each of the last four H2H duels went Under.
