Picks and Predictions for Round 13 of the 2022 Liga MX Clausura – April 7-11

Round 13 of the 2022 Liga MX Clausura gets underway this Thursday, April 7. All 18 teams are in action in Round 13, meaning there is no shortage of Liga MX betting opportunities to take advantage of.
Today, I will be taking you through my Liga MX predictions and picks for Round 13. Before we go any further, though, it’s time to inspect the schedule. Analyzing the fixtures will give us a greater chance of winning cash.
- Atlas vs. Necaxa
- Club Puebla vs. Pumas UNAM
- Mazatlan vs. Cruz Azul
- Atletico San Luis vs. Club Leon
- Deportivo Toluca vs. Guadalajara
- Monterrey vs. Santos Laguna
- Club America vs. Juarez
- Queretaro vs. Tigres UANL
- Pachuca vs. Club Tijuana
With 26 and 25 points, respectively, Tigres UANL and Pachuca are the pacesetters in the Liga MX standings. The frontrunners are being closely followed by Club Puebla, Cruz Azul, Atlas, and Club Leon.
Read on to discover my Liga MX Round 13 predictions and best bets. Let’s kick things off with the four featured games before moving on to the remaining Liga MX predictions and picks.
Atlas to Beat Necaxa
Last weekend, Atlas suffered only its third defeat in 12 Clausura clashes. Los Zorros suffered a 1-0 loss to Cruz Azul, despite racking up 66% possession and 13 shots.
Jaime Lozano’s men have managed to win just four of their 12 Clausura matches, recording two draws and six losses along the way. As a result, only the bottom two sides have recorded more defeats this season.
I expect Atlas to claim all three points on Thursday.
Club Puebla to Beat Pumas UNAM
Club Puebla sits third in the Liga MX standings, having picked up two losses in 12 outings. Thanks to six wins and four draws, La Franja remains just three points shy of the top two.
As for Pumas, they find themselves ninth in the Liga MX table – seven points behind Puebla. Having lost four of their previous seven games across all competitions, they are not at their best right now.
I’m backing Puebla to get the better of UNAM. Puebla has been one of the top performers since the Clausura kicked off, while UNAM has struggled for consistency.
Cruz Azul to Beat Mazatlan
It wouldn’t be unfair to say that Mazatlan is enduring a dismal campaign. Indeed, the Sinaloa outfit has registered two wins, two draws, and eight losses this term.
On the flip side, fourth-place Cruz Azul sits 12 points ahead of seventeenth-place Mazatlan. The Sky Blues have lost just four of their 12 Clausura clashes and have won two of their previous three league games.
It is highly unlikely that Mazatlan will prevent Juan Reynoso’s men from notching their third victory in four Liga MX matches.
Club America to Beat Juarez
Club America is back.
The Eagles managed to win just one of their first nine Clausura games, recording three draws and five losses in the process. However, they have suffered only one defeat in their past six league matches and head into Round 13 on the back of two straight wins.
The resurgent Eagles shouldn’t struggle to overcome lowly Juarez. I’m confident that America will secure a third successive league victory on Saturday.
More Liga MX Predictions for Round 13
Here are the rest of my Liga MX Round 13 predictions.
- Club Leon to Beat Atletico San Luis
- Deportivo Toluca and Guadalajara to Draw
- Monterrey and Santos Laguna to Draw
- Tigres UANL to Beat Queretaro
- Pachuca to Beat Club Tijuana
I’m backing Club Leon and Tigres UANL to seal road wins this weekend. Elsewhere, I expect Pachuca to get the better of Club Tijuana on home soil. Let’s not forget that Pachuca is chasing the title.
There is very little to separate Monterrey and Santo Laguna right now. By the same token, Deportivo Toluca and Guadalajara look set to play out a close match. That’s why I expect those two clashes to end level.
Top Betting Picks for Liga MX Round 13
It’s time to check out the best Liga MX bets for Round 13. I found these generous odds at Betway.
- Mazatlan vs. Cruz Azul – Cruz Azul to Win (2.30)
- Monterrey vs. Santos Laguna – Over 2.5 Goals (1.72)
- Club America vs. Juarez – Club America to Win (1.61)
Due to Cruz Azul’s away status, the price for the Sky Blues to beat Mazatlan is hugely attractive. Since Mazatlan is enduring a seven-game winless run, Cruz Azul should claim a third win in four Liga MX games.
Not only has Santos Laguna netted 20 goals this season, but it has also conceded 20 goals. For that reason, I recommend backing both teams to score when Monterrey hosts Santos.
Given that first-place Club America finished 15 points ahead of sixteenth-place Juarez in the Apertura standings, I’m confident that the Eagles will notch their third consecutive victory when Jaurez visits Mexico City.
