Round 4 of the Liga MX Apertura 2022 gets underway on Wednesday, July 20. Therefore, it’s time for me to share my Round 4 Liga MX predictions and betting picks.

The opening tie of the round sees Guadalajara host Leon. There is also the small matter of Tigres vs. Atlas to look forward to. On Sunday, Pachuca and Pumas will wrap up the Round 4 action at Estadio Hidalgo.

It is worth pointing out that Monterrey is the only away favorite here. The other eight clashes have home favorites, meaning there should be plenty of betting value to unearth.

Monterrey suffered a crazy 4-3 defeat to Santos Laguna in Round 1. However, Victor Manuel Vucetich’s men head into Round 4 on the back of two straight wins. After beating Club America 3-2, they secured a 1-0 victory over Atletico San Luis.

No team has scored more goals than Rayados since the start of the Apertura 2022. Rogelio Funes Mori already has three goals to his name, while Rodrigo Aguirre has two goals under his belt.

Unfortunately, Queretaro has yet to taste victory this season. Following back-to-back defeats against Pachuca (2-0) and Necaxa (2-1), the White Roosters registered a 1-1 draw with Juarez in Round 3.

Not only have Vucetich’s men picked up five points more than Queretaro this season, but they have also scored five goals more. For that reason, I’m backing Monterrey to claim all three points at Estadio Corregidora.

When Cruz Azul claimed a 3-2 victory over Tigres UANL on the opening weekend, everything appeared to be heading in the right direction. Since then, however, Los Celestes have failed to pick up a point.

Diego Aguirre’s boys suffered a 2-1 loss to Pachuca in Round 2 before falling to Atlas (3-2) last time out. All of a sudden, they find themselves twelfth in the standings after failing to build on their strong start.

There is no hiding the fact that Puebla has made a flying start to the Apertura 2022. If Cruz Azul’s recent performances are anything to go by, Los Celestes should make light work of La Franja.

Club America heads into Round 4 on the back of a 2-1 defeat to English Premier League giants Chelsea. The Eagles traveled to Las Vegas to face the Blues, who are on a pre-season tour of the United States.

There is no shame in suffering a narrow loss to the team that won the UEFA Champions League in 2021. Given that Fernando Ortiz’s men also beat Toluca 1-0 last week, they will be confident of dispatching struggling Tijuana.

Los Xolos have taken just one point from a possible nine this season. After drawing 1-1 with Pumas in Round 1, they suffered back-to-back defeats against Juarez (2-0) and Tigres (1-0).

In addition to registering just one point this season, Tijuana has scored a solitary goal. With that in mind, you probably won’t be surprised to learn that I’m backing the Eagles to soar to victory on Saturday.

I expect Mazatlan, Deportivo Toluca, and CF Pachuca to win on home soil in Round 4. Elsewhere, I’m confident that Juarez get the better of lowly Necaxa at Estadio Victoria.

I can also see both CD Guadalajara vs Club Leon and Tigres UANL vs. Atlas ending in a draw. Guadalajara and Leon have both claimed two draws in three games this season, while Atlas has more than enough quality to frustrate UANL.

I really like the look of the odds for Mazatlan and Deportivo Toluca to win. Given that you can more than double your money with both wagers, I highly recommend jumping on these prices.

So far this season, Guadalajara has registered scores of 0-0, 0-1, and 1-1. For that reason, the under 2.5 goals wager is arguably the best pick for Guadalajara’s clash against Leon.

By contrast, Cruz Azul has recorded scores of 2-3, 1-2, and 3-2. Los Celestes have scored six goals and conceded seven this season, so I expect their game against Club Puebla to be a high-scoring affair.
