Fulham dominated the Championship last term, scoring a colossal 106 goals en route to gaining promotion. Still, Saturday’s visit of Liverpool is destined to be a baptism of fire for Marco Silva’s men.

Southampton looks set to endure another difficult campaign. For that reason, I’m backing Spurs to kick off their season with a comfortable victory on home soil.

Pep Guardiola’s boys clinched their fourth EPL title in five years last season. Granted, they edged out Liverpool by a single point on the final day. But few would argue that Man City didn’t deserve to secure the silverware.

I’m backing Newcastle and Man Utd to win on home soil this weekend. Elsewhere, I expect Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Chelsea to win on the road. I can also see both Leeds vs. Wolves and Leicester vs. Brentford ending in a draw.

I’m backing Aston Villa and Newcastle to kick off their campaigns with victories over newly-promoted teams. Villa visits Bournemouth on Saturday, while Newcastle hosts Nottingham Forest.

I recommend utilizing the handicap markets for Fulham vs. Liverpool and Tottenham vs. Southampton. I’m confident that both Liverpool and Spurs will win by at least two clear goals.

Liverpool is priced at just 1.28 to beat Fulham, but you can get odds of 1.80 with the -1 handicap. The same handicap takes Tottenham’s odds from 1.35 to 1.95, so it’s certainly worth taking advantage of.
