Picks and Predictions for KBO Games – Sunday, June 5th, 2022
It’s the last day of the week for our KBO picks as we head into an off day on Monday. Hopefully we can head into the break on a high note by nailing our betting predictions.
This will be the third game of the series between each of the 10 teams. The KT Wiz and the LG Twins are the only teams who can go for the sweep on Sunday, while the Kia Tigers and SSG Landers will be trying to prevent that from happening.
Let’s get right into the KBO betting odds for Sunday to see which bets we should be targeting.
KBO Odds for Sunday, June 5th, 2022
- SSG Landers (-160) vs. LG Twins (+130), O/U 7.5 – Odds from BetOnline
- Kiwoom Heroes (-179) vs. Hanwha Eagles (+149), O/U 10
- Kia Tigers (-131) vs. KT Wiz (+101), O/U 7.5
- Doosan Bears (-120) vs. Samsung Lions (-110), O/U 10
- Lotte Giants (+203) vs. NC Dinos (-253), O/U 8.5
After dropping the first two games of the series, the Landers are favored to beat the Twins for Game 3. They are still in first, but losing 3 games in a row is letting other teams catch up to them.
The team that’s the closest on their scent is the Kiwoom Heroes, who have a very favorable matchup over the Hanwha Eagles. Kiwoom has been playing at a very high level over the last couple of weeks and they are seriously pushing SSG for first place.
The Tigers are also favored to prevent the sweep on Sunday against the KT Wiz. Kia’s offense hasn’t been themselves against the Wiz’s good pitching. They’ve scored 2 and 3 runs in back to back games, which is way lower than their season average of 5.24.
Lotte is down in the dumps recently. They’re just 2-7-1 in their last 10 games and are heavy underdogs against one of the worst teams in the league (NC Dinos).
These KBO odds are available on BetOnline, which is also offering a 60% welcome bonus (up to $1,000) for newcomers. Head over there to place your bets for Sunday’s slate.
KBO Predictions for Sunday’s Games
- SSG Landers Over LG Twins
- Kiwoom Heroes Over Hanwha Eagles
- Kia Tigers Over KT Wiz
- Samsung Lions Over Doosan Bears
- NC Dinos Over Lotte Giants
Here are my KBO predictions for each winner on Sunday’s slate.
The Landers should have a good chance to snap their recent skid with Wilmer Font on the mound. Font didn’t do well against the Twins earlier this season (3 ER, 5 IP), but he’s been great overall this season with a stellar 2.22 ERA and 0.77 WHIP.
Kiwoom should have a chance to keep rolling today facing Nam Ji-min and his 7.46 ERA. Han Hyun-hee doesn’t have a pretty ERA at 7.20 himself, but most of that was in the bullpen. His first start of the season was stellar, shutting out Lotte in 7 innings.
There are good pitchers going in the Kia and KT game, so things can go either way. Kia’s offense has been better over the course of the season, so I’ll take them to win. KT’s offense has done enough in the last two games, but they’ve been wildly inconsistent in 2022.
Jang Pill-joon will be taking the mound for the Lions. He doesn’t pitch deep into games, so the Lions will have to use a lot of their bullpen. Choi Seung-yong has been terrible as of late, allowing 4+ runs in his last 3 starts. That should give Samsung the upper hand.
Drew Rucinski always gives the Dinos a good chance to win with his sparkling 1.83 ERA. Lotte’s been terrible lately, so Rucinski should have a strong chance of shutting them down here.
Top KBO Betting Picks to Target for 6/5/2022
These will be my 3 best KBO betting picks for Sunday’s slate of games.
The SSG Landers haven’t been playing well as of late, but I think they will bounce back and get a win here. Wilmer Font is one of the best pitchers in the league and should be able to turn in a good performance.
The Twins will be sending Lim Jun-hyeung to the mound, who has a bad ERA of 6.14 this year. He’s allowed 15 earned runs in his last 13.1 innings, which should mean the Landers can score on him.
We might even take a look at the Landers -1.5 run line (+109) for some good value.
Kia’s another team who’s moneyline price looks intriguing. I’m not a fan of going against Ko Young-pyo, but he’s allowed 13 runs in his last 25 innings. That could give the best offense in the league a good chance to jump on him.
Yang Hyeon-jong also beat the Wiz earlier this season, going 6.2 innings and allowing 2 earned runs.
Drew Rucinski being on the mound should make a strong case for the under by itself. Add in the fact that the Dinos and Giants are the two lowest scoring teams in their last 10 games, makes it even more intriguing.
Even if they play through light rain, that should make it harder for hitters to see the ball. It also makes it a bit harder to control your pitches, but Rucinski and the current state of the offenses should favor the under.
