Picks and Predictions for KBO Games – Saturday, May 28th, 2022

| May 27, 2022 11:58 am PDT

The weekend is officially here for the KBO. If you weren’t able to place some bets on the KBO league yet this week, now’s a perfect time to get in on the action. Our KBO picks will help you get an idea for what teams should have the best chance of winning each game on Saturday.

Friday was the series opener across the league with 4 out of the 5 road teams getting wins and outsourcing them 26-7. Lots of people are superstitious when it comes to baseball, so there’s that. It’s an interesting note, but it doesn’t necessarily mean anything from a bettor’s perspective.

Let’s go ahead and take a look at Saturday’s KBO betting odds before we make our predictions.

KBO Odds for Saturday, May 28th, 2022

  • SSG Landers (+108) vs. Kia Tigers (-128), O/U 9
  • Kiwoom Heroes (+103) vs. Lotte Giants (-123), O/U 9
  • Doosan Bears (+113) vs. NC Dinos (-143), O/U 10
  • Samsung Lions (+161) vs. LG Twins (-191), O/U 7.5

The first place SSG Landers dominated the Kia Tigers on Friday 8-1. Lee Tae-yang dazzled in 7 innings and didn’t allow a single run. Ivan Nova (5.06 ERA) takes the mound for this one, who hasn’t been consistent this year.

He will be opposed by Lee Eui-lee (2.81 ERA), so Kia could have a chance to even up the series.

Kiwoom continued their recent stretch of incredible play, winning 8-0 over Lotte yesterday. They are 8-2 in their last 10 games and are on a 4 game winning streak. This recent winning streak has moved them all the way up to second place.

Hanwha is having a good week so far at 3-1. They won yesterday 4-0 over the KT Wiz, but are still in a disappointing 9th place.

The odds for that game will come out soon, so keep an eye out for those.

Doosan has outscored their opponents 30-4 in their last two games. Most of that was due to their 24-3 win on Thursday, but you get the point. They look to be gaining some serious steam at a good time.

The LG Twins won Game 1 of their series against Samsung, so they’ll be looking to build a winning streak on Saturday.

KBO Predictions for Saturday’s Games

  • Kia Tigers Over SSG Landers
  • Kiwoom Heroes Over Lotte Giants
  • KT Wiz Over Hanwha Eagles
  • NC Dinos Over Doosan Bears
  • LG Twins Over Samsung Lions

Here are my KBO predictions for Saturday’s winners.

Kia has been playing very well recently despite losing by 7 on Friday. They have the best offense in the KBO and are averaging 6.5 runs per game (second best in KBO), despite scoring just 1 yesterday.

Ivan Nova has been very unreliable for the Landers this year, so the Tigers should be able to score a good chunk of runs on him. Lee Eui-lee has a very solid 2.81 ERA this year, so he should be able to hold the Landers’ offense pretty decently as well.

I also have Kiwoom to keep rolling on Saturday over the Lotte Giants. Lotte is sending Glenn Sparkman to the mound, who has a bad 5.46 ERA. The only team that is scoring more runs per game than Kia recently is Kiwoom with 7.3 runs per game in their last 10.

Although Hanwha has had a good week, the Wiz should have the better chance of winning on Saturday. Lee Min-woo takes the mound for Hanwha, who has a 5.56 ERA and doesn’t pitch deep into games.

That will put a lot of pressure on the Eagles’ bullpen, which has an abysmal 6.70 ERA in their last 10 games.

You might be surprised that NC could beat Doosan on Saturday, but Koo Chang-mo is making his season debut for the Dinos. He was incredible in 2020, going 9-0 with a stellar 1.74 ERA in 93.1 innings.

LG should have a high chance of winning given the Baek Jung-hyun (5.67 ERA) vs. Casey Kelly (2.89 ERA) pitching matchup.

Top KBO Betting Picks to Target for 5/28/2022

Kiwoom Heroes to Win+107
NC Dinos to Win-143
LG Twins to Win-191

These are going to be my top KBO betting picks for Saturday’s games. We are on a bit of a heater right now, going 6 for 6 in our last 2 days. Let’s try and keep the magic going with another great day of KBO picks.

Kiwoom is arguably the hottest team in the KBO, so we are going to keep riding the wave. They’ve won 4 games in a row and have a high chance of making it 5. Choi Won-tae has a solid 2.54 ERA this year, while the Heroes can score some runs on Glenn Sparkman.

They won by 8 yesterday, so I’m pretty surprised to see them as underdogs for Saturday.

It might be dicey to bet against Doosan right now considering the scores of the last two games, but I think it could be worth it.

Koo Chang-mo is an absolutely incredible pitcher and didn’t lose a game in 14 starts last year (9-0). Doosan will be sending Lee Young-ha to the mound, who the Dinos already rocked the first time they saw him.

They scored 8 runs (7 earned) in just 3.1 innings a month ago. NC’s bullpen also has been the best in the KBO in the last 10 games (2.48 ERA).

LG should have a good chance of beating the Lions, who are just 3-7 in their last 10 games. The Lions run differential is -18 in that span as well, so they would be very risky to rely on.
