Perth Glory vs. Brisbane Roar – A-League, February 26, 2021

Brisbane can move to within one point of first-place Central Coast when Perth welcomes the Queenslanders to Western Australia on Friday, February 26.
The Glory currently find themselves five points behind the Roar on the A-League ladder, although Richard Garcia’s men have three games in hand over Brisbane.
I share my Perth Glory vs. Brisbane Roar prediction and betting pick below. But first, let’s check out the bookmakers’ odds.
Perth Glory vs. Brisbane Roar Odds
Having won each of their previous two games, the Glory (2.35) come into Friday’s clash as the favorites. However, the price for the home win is obviously pretty high here.
The leading online sportsbooks view the Roar (2.90) as the outsiders, yet Warren Moon’s men have only lost two of their eight A-League matches this season.
Perth Glory vs. Brisbane Roar Preview
Following back-to-back defeats to Western United and Melbourne Victory, the Glory were left with just three points from their opening three games this term. But the Western Australians have turned things around in recent weeks.
A convincing 3-1 win over Melbourne City was followed by a 2-1 victory over Adelaide United last time out, leaving Perth in a healthy position.
Despite having played four games less than some teams this season, Garcia’s men are currently the second-highest scorers in the A-League. Bruno Fornaroli and Nick D’Agostino already have four goals under their belt, while Carlo Armiento has chipped in with three goals and two assists this term.
The Glory may be averaging three goals per game at the moment, but they also have one of the worst defensive records in the league. In fact, only three teams have conceded more goals than Perth this season.
The Western Australians are also one of only three teams without a draw to their name. Their record of three wins and two defeats isn’t bad, although Garcia will surely be eager for his side to stop conceding so many goals.
The only club inside the top four on both the @ALeague & @WLeague ladders.

On the other hand, Brisbane has played three games more than Perth this term – and the Queenslanders have managed to accumulate five points more along the way.
Four wins, two draws, and two losses mean that Moon’s side currently sits second on the A-League ladder – four points behind the Mariners.
But having secured four straight victories after the turn of the year, the Roar have now failed to win any of their last three outings. Ater losing 2-0 to Macarthur earlier in the month, back-to-back goalless draws against Newcastle Jets and Sydney FC have prevented Brisbane from snatching the top spot on the ladder.
Moon’s men can take confidence from the fact that they have kept consecutive clean sheets. However, let’s not forget that they have also failed to score in their previous two games.
If Dylan Wenzel-Halls (5 goals, 2 assists), Scott McDonald (3 goals, 2 assists), and Riku Danzaki (3 goals, 1 assist) can rediscover some form on Friday, Brisbane will be difficult to stop.
Perth Glory vs. Brisbane Roar Betting Pick

The Draw3.35
The Glory may be five points behind Brisbane on the ladder, but it is important to remember that Perth has played three games less than the Roar. Judging by the early-season displays from both sides, the teams seem relatively evenly matched.
For that reason, I believe the draw is the best bet for this matchup. I can see both sides canceling each other out on Friday – and the price for the draw is pretty attractive, too!
