Parx Racing Picks – Wednesday, November 11, 2020

Parx Racing offers mostly claiming races on its ten-race card for Wednesday, although there are a couple of maiden and allowance matches to spice up the action.

Parx permits spectators, but bring an umbrella, because there’s a 90% chance of rain in Bensalem, PA for Wednesday. The temps will be in the mid-70s, and the winds will be a mild seven mph.

This is a maiden claiming race for three-year-olds and upward running a distance of seven furlongs for a purse of $24,000.

I’m sticking with the 9/5 morning line favorite — Dream’n Demon, with Mychel Sanchez in the irons. This four-year-old gelding moneyed two of his six career starts, and has performed well in recent workouts.

None of the longer-odds entries in this field are likely to finish anywhere near the money.

This is an allowance optional claiming race for three-year-olds and upward running a distance of 1-1/16 miles for a purse of $41,000.

I have to agree with the morning line here, as well: My money is on the 3/1 favorite Flat Out Beautiful, with Frankie Pennington aboard. This four-year-old gelding moneyed 13 of his 20 career starts, winning six.

The longest odds in this race are 12/1 on Bumperdoo, and that is just not going to happen.

This is a starter allowance race for three-year-olds and upward running a distance of seven furlongs for a purse of $22,000.

I’m going with the second-favored (3/1) entry in this race — Factor This In, ridden by Frankie Pennington. This six-year-old gelding finished in the money 17 of his 33 career starts, winning eight. And while the morning line favorite has a very slightly better career starting record, Factor This In has a much-superior record for 2020: Five money finishes in six career starts, with two wins.

At 15/1, Fire Mission, ridden by Abner Adorno, has the look of a quality show wager about him. This ten-year-old gelding moneyed 48 of his 88 career starts, winning 23 of them. Just between you and me, no one would think less of you if you were to make this an across the board wager.
