Parx Racing Picks – Tuesday, January 26, 2021

Parx Racing brings us ten maiden, allowance, and claiming matches for our Tuesday wagering and entertainment.
Remember that although I review three of Parx Racing’s richest races here, you can find their entire ten-race card — including entries, jockeys, morning-line odds, and wagering options — at one of our recommended online racebooks.
Read on for my Parx Racing picks and betting tips for Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
Pick for Race 1 at Parx Racing
This is a maiden claiming race for four-year-olds and upward running a distance of 6-1/2 furlongs for a purse of $27,000.
I like the third-favored (9/2) entry in this race — Don’t Recall, with Frankie Pennington in the irons. One of two horses in this seven-horse field with better records than the morning-line favorite, this four-year-old gelding moneyed four of his five career starts.
The morning line has three horses running at 6/1 odds, and even though one of them — J Wass, with Angel Castillo aboard — could very well finish in the money, those 6/1 M/L odds say the potential profit is not just worth the risk.
- Win: Don’t Recall 9/2
Picks for Race 8 at Parx Racing
This is a starter allowance race for fillies and mares four years old and upward running a distance of six furlongs for a purse of $22,000.
I’m going with the fourth-favored (5/1) entry here — Stabilize, ridden by Jaime Rodriguez. This five-year-old mare finished in the money 12 of her 14 career starts, winning five.
And at 15/1, I have to like Baby Bam Bam, with Jonathan Ocasio aboard, for a value show ticket. This four-year-old filly has moneyed nine of her 15 career starts, winning five. Good record and she’s even better off with Ocasio onboard for this race, if for no other reason than his seven-pound apprentice allowance.
- Win: Stabilize 5/1
- Show: Baby Bam Bam 15/1
Picks for Race 9 at Parx Racing
This is a starter allowance race for fillies and mares four years old and upward running a distance of one mile and 70 yards for a purse of $22,000.
I like the second-favored (5/2) entry for the win — Odd Gal, ridden by Ruben Silvera. This five-year-old mare finished in the money 11 of her 19 career starts, winning six of them.
And I like the 20/1 longshot Galileo’s Affair, with Dexter Haddock aboard, for a show ticket. This six-year-old mare moneyed 25 of her 41 career starts, winning nine of them.
- Win: Odd Gal 5/2
- Show: Galileo’s Affair 20/1
