Odds and Betting Tips for the 2021 F1 Dutch Grand Prix
As per my F1 predictions for last weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen had a dominant day at Spa.
Can the Belgian-Dutchman enjoy similar success in the country he was raised in? You will find the latest F1 odds for Verstappen and some betting tips for the Dutch Grand Prix with his name on them below.
The last man to win the Dutch Grand Prix was the late, great Niki Lauda in 1985. This is the first year that the GP has been staged since then, so drivers will have limited time to get used to the track. Make sure to factor that into your bets, but rest assured that my Dutch Grand Prix betting picks have been made with this in mind.
Before we get to my analysis of the race, let’s see what the bookies are saying.
Online Odds for the F1 Dutch Grand Prix (2021)
The odds for Max Verstappen to win the Dutch Grand Prix are a nice, rounded +110 with BetOnline.
One should have no concerns with Verstappen’s speed, form, or ability. However, it will be interesting to see how he handles the pressure of being the favorite on a new track, especially since that track is located in his homeland.
Just behind Verstappen is Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton at +175.
Hamilton’s odds for the F1 return to The Netherlands will make him a popular pick with many racing bettors this weekend. There is no doubt that the seven-time world champion is the more experienced driver, and this could be a very influential factor in this race.
Valtteri Bottas (+400) and Sergio Perez (+1000) are the usual suspects behind the two favorites for the race.
Now we’ve covered the odds, it’s time for my betting tips for the Dutch Grand Prix.
F1 Dutch Grand Prix Picks
- Predicted Winner – Max Verstappen +110
- Pole – Max Verstappen +120
- Top 3 Finish – Sergio Perez +200
- Top 6 Finish – Daniel Ricciardo +150
- Top 10 Finish – Kimi Raikkonen +300
My top picks for the F1 Dutch Grand Prix in 2021 can be found above.
I recommend Verstappen’s odds to win the race as well as to take pole at Circuit Zandvoort. At just three points behind Lewis Hamilton, the home-country hero has the perfect opportunity here to make it count when it matters most.
Last weekend’s washout at Spa might have been a major disappointment. But in this betting preview for the Dutch Grand Prix, I think it’s only right to remind bettors that we should have dry conditions and, therefore, a real race on our hands.
Thus, there is value on Perez to finish on the podium. Red Bull look set for a big performance on this track, and I believe Perez will stave off the aggressive tactics of Valtteri Bottas to secure P3.
Ricciardo for a top-6 is solid value at +150. I think the Aussie-Italian will be up there with the front of the pack for most of the race and should settle between 4th and 6th.
Finally, Kimi Raikkonen’s odds of +300 to finish in the top 10 are worth a look. The Finn recently announced that this will be his final season in F1, so expect a solid drive from the 2007 F1 champion.
Why Verstappen Wins the Dutch Grand Prix
It would be a disservice to Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen to call this race a toss-up.
But from a gambler’s perspective, or anyone wagering on the Dutch GP in any capacity, you could make a strong argument for both men winning. In this case, I have to give the nod to Verstappen.
In my 2021 Dutch Grand Prix betting tips, I’m backing the youngster to take the win on the day. For the most part, he has been the better driver in this campaign, and Red Bull has had the better car.
Verstappen will race at the first Dutch Grand Prix in 36 years with the home crowd willing him on. He will come through with the performance he needs to break the 200-points barrier for the first time this season and put himself back on top of the Drivers’ Championship standings.
I expect a big race from the “Flying Dutchman.”
Where to Find the Best Odds for the F1 Dutch Grand Prix
If you’re betting on the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend, make sure to get the best odds you can.
I recommend checking out the safest F1 sportsbooks and comparing the prices available. As always, you can find some bookmakers offering a little more for the driver you are betting on.
Regardless of the market of your choice, line shopping for odds is always a good idea. So, do your thing before your F1 bets down.
Finally, I’d suggest looking over the team’s latest recommended bets for this weekend and beyond.
Enjoy the race!
