Predictions and Best Bets for NHL Games on Tuesday, February 15th, 2022

We have an enormous slate of NHL games to bet on today, so let’s try and build our betting accounts. There are some teams with very favorable matchups and should be able to win, but we also have some games that should be much closer.

Some top tier teams that we get to see play today include the Colorado Avalanche, Nashville Predators, Tampa Bay Lightning, and more. The Avalanche are the current leader in the odds for the Stanley Cup this year and today they are taking on the Dallas Stars at home.

Let’s take a look at the rest of the odds for today’s 9 game slate of NHL games.

Lots of great matchups to bet on today. We have a couple of lopsided games with one team heavily favored, but you can still take their odds and parlay them together, or take their puck line as well.

The heavily favored teams today are the Blues (-205), Lightning (-277), Penguins (-295), Avalanche (-250), and the Flames (-271).

The reason why these teams are heavily favored to win is because they have been great so far this year and their opponent today has not been so great.

They should be able to get the job done over their lesser opponents, as an upset would be pretty embarrassing for them.

The highest scoring total we have today belongs to the Oilers and the Kings game at 6.5 goals. Although there is plus money being offered for the over, which means the under is probably more likely to hit there.

The rest of the games on the schedule should be pretty close, which makes for some solid hockey entertainment. Read on to see my predictions for these games.

For my predictions for this 9 game slate, I don’t think there are a lot of teams I like to upset their opponent. I would prefer picking the Bruins moneyline for some solid value, but I feel like the under should have a bit of a higher chance to hit.

Those are my best valued bets of the day, as most of the other games have some decently heavy favorites and an upset seems unlikely. With that being said, we definitely could see some upsets tonight, I am just not very excited about this list of underdogs.

If you want to try and hit on some extra value, taking the puck line for these heavy favorites could work out nicely.

The Avalanche have the best record in the NHL against the spread (34-12, 73.91%), which is by a decent amount. Tampa Bay and the New York Rangers also have great records against the spread and are heavily favored to win today.

These predictions should be the likely outcomes of these NHL games today. You can try and combine some picks and parlay them depending on the prices you like. I wouldn’t try and parlay all 9 games together, as that makes it very difficult to hit.

These are my absolute best bets for today’s NHL slate. These 4 bets should have solid chances to hit and their odds are good as well. The worst bet out of these odds-wise is the Avalanche to win at (-250).

The Avalanche are terrific against the spread and they very well could cover tonight. The reason why I am a little worried about their spread is because Dallas isn’t bad against the spread themselves.

Dallas has covered their spread 25 out of 46 games (54.35%). They might not be able to beat the NHL’s best team in the Avalanche, but keeping it within one score might be possible here.

The Avalanche are the only heavy favorite I don’t feel too comfortable in to win by 2+ goals. The Blues and the Lightning are heavy favorites that I do like to cover the spread today in contrast.

Their opponents have not been good there this season, which has the Blues and Lightning in a very favorable matchup. New Jersey is 17-32 ATS this year, while the Senators are not much better at 17-28.

The Bruins and the Rangers are solid defensive teams and a high scoring game seems unlikely. Whenever you see a point total option being offered in plus money, that usually means the opposite should be a better bet.
