Expert NFL Picks and Predictions for Week 15, 2021 – Free Picks to Target

| December 16, 2021 10:28 am PDT

It was another good week for my NFL predictions and best bets. My straight up NFL picks were 10-4, and my three favorite bets went 2-1.

The run has been very good over the past several weeks, and I hope you’ve been along for the ride. If not, there’s still time to hop aboard going into week 15.

I’m not including this week’s Thursday Night Football game for my week 15 NFL predictions, but you can get a full breakdown in this Chiefs vs. Chargers week 15 NFL pick.

For every other game, I’ll offer my straight up picks, and cap things off with my top bets for the week.

Browns Over Raiders

Cleveland has been very erratic this year. Seriously, they’ve won consecutive games just once all season.

They also haven’t passed the ball effectively, and that may be tested more than usual with starting quarterback Baker Mayfield set to miss this week’s battle with the Raiders due to COVID-19.

That could be bad, but they can turn to the reliable Case Keenum, who was able to get them a win the last time his name was called. He also has a strong running game to lean on, while Cleveland’s defense hasn’t allowed more than 22 points in any of their last three games.

Las Vegas isn’t a scary opponent right now, either. The Raiders got absolutely smoked (48-9) last week, and are reeling (1-4 over their last five games). They appear to be rudderless, while the Browns still have a shot at a playoff spot, and perhaps even a division crown.

I like the Browns here even without Mayfield, as Keenum is more inclined to play within himself.

Patriots Over Colts

I really like hammering the Under in this game, and that bet is part of my week 15 NFL parlay picks. I also like the Patriots to keep it rolling, as they are red hot with seven straight wins.

Some will mock Mac Jones for only attempting three passes in his win over the Bills two weeks ago, but he is just listening to order. The Pats are playing better than anyone in the league defensively, they’re running the football, and they’re picking their spots with their rookie passer.

I doubt it ends with a title, seeing as rookie quarterbacks don’t win Super Bowls, but it should get them an eighth straight win here.

Mac Jones isn’t the one I trust here. It’s Bill Belichick’s defense, and the likelihood it takes away Jonathan Taylor and forces Carson Wentz to beat them. For some reason, I just don’t see that happening.

Bills Over Panthers

I am officially off of Team Cam. I was really excited about Cam Newton’s return to Carolina, but he’s been benched three times since taking over as the team’s starting quarterback.

The next benching could be his last.

Newton can no longer stretch the field, and he’s running into a potential buzzsaw in week 15. Buffalo should have won their last two games, but suddenly they are 7-6 and on the brink of falling out of the playoffs completely.

They are way too good to allow that to happen. I expect a fully dialed in Josh Allen and a very aggressive Bills defense in this one. Buffalo is going to run away with this one.

If you like this post, you’re all about quick, easy NFL picks. I will say that straight up NFL picks aren’t always the way to go, as they don’t offer the proper context to bet against the spread.

And if you’re simply betting on football moneylines, you’re bound to leave some value on the table.

That said, week 15 feels fairly straight forward. Arizona won’t be losing to Detroit. I think they cover their near-two touchdown spread as they get back on track in a big way. I also don’t think teams like Dallas, L.A., or Tampa Bay are going to slip, as they all have a shot at the #1 seed in the NFC.

Oddly enough, I do think this is a tough spot for the Packers. They’re better than the Ravens, but they’re on the road, and they’ve dealt with so many injuries. Baltimore should have Lamar Jackson for this one, although it isn’t official just yet.

The Ravens have found a way to gut out wins left and right this year, and they’re 5-1 in front of their home crowd.

The 49ers and Vikings are in must-win situations and they’re the superior teams in their respective matchups. The Steelers are a risky call, but Tennessee remains vulnerable, and Pittsburgh has to win to stay relevant in the AFC North.

Miami will continue their hot run against the 3-10 Jets, the Eagles will send Washington packing, and the Jaguars just might show off some potential now that they finally canned Urban Meyer.

My fantasy football team wishes that decision came a week earlier, and I will admit that prior to this news, I loved Houston as an upset bet. Now, I’d lean toward the Jags getting the win as everyone breathes a sigh of relief.

Best NFL Bets for Week 15

  • Ravens (+6) -110
  • Patriots vs. Colts Under 45.5 (-110)
  • Vikings (-3.5) -110

I think the Ravens win this week if Lamar Jackson plays, but I am not going all-in on that bet without knowing his status. For now, I love Baltimore to at least make a game of it.

Even if Jackson is out, the Ravens have elite coaching, a capable defense, and a solid rushing attack.

The Ravens are a perfect 3-0 against the spread as underdogs this season, and they seem to be in pretty much every game they play.

As noted, I also love the Under in that Patriots vs. Colts affair. New England allows 15 points per game, so this one being a weird shootout makes no sense to me.

Minnesota is going to beat the Bears. The Vikings are incredibly inconsistent, but Dalvin Cook is at full strength and Chicago is inching closer to a Matt Nagy firing. Maybe it comes after a loss to the Vikes.

Hopefully my week 15 NFL predictions and picks help you out. If you’re betting this week, just know there is so much more where this advice comes from. Check out some of our week 15 NFL betting posts below.
