Expert NFL Picks and Predictions for Week 14, 2021

| December 8, 2021 7:17 am PST

NFL betting has been kind to bettors in recent weeks. Maybe not so much two weeks ago, but before that and in week 13, it’s been fun.

Last week specifically, I nailed my NFL predictions (9-5), and my best bets went 2-1. All you can really ask for is finishing above .500, but when you’re well above that 50/50 mark, that’s when betting on the NFL is tough to top.

The goal is to keep the positive momentum rolling into week 14. If you’re looking for straight up picks, I’ll hand out my week 14 NFL predictions, and then get to my favorite bets for the week.

Before you dive in, brush up on how the week started with my early week 14 NFL odds breakdown.

Vikings Over Steelers

Let’s get things started with this week’s Thursday Night Football affair. Usually the short week advantage goes to the home team, and Minnesota is in a potential get-right spot at home.

Dalvin Cook is slated to miss this game, too, while wide receiver Adam Thielen may also be sidelined.

Minnesota is banged up offensively, but they still could have enough to get it done on a short week at home.

More importantly, I can’t hang my hat on a rapidly deteriorating Ben Roethlisberger. Neither side feels great, but being at home with little time to plan should aid the Vikes here.

Ravens Over Browns

Baltimore lost in gut-wrenching fashion last week, but they just handled these same Browns a couple of games ago, 16-10.

Cleveland is well rested following their bye week, but they’ve been horrid on the offensive side of the football.

Seriously, the Browns have scored more than 17 points just once in their last seven games.

Cleveland can run the football and they seemingly prefer to slow games down and grind wins out, but that strategy hasn’t worked well recently (3-4 over those seven games).

Baltimore can stop the run, so Cleveland’s only realistic route to winning this game is Baker Mayfield coming up big. I think there’s a chance of that happening if he got healthy over the bye, but I simply trust the Ravens much more at this point.

Titans Over Jaguars

Tennessee is another team fresh off of their bye, but unlike the Browns, I think they can get back on track here. Having Julio Jones off of injured reserve could be a start.

It’s unclear if Jones will be back for this game, but the Jags remain one of the worst teams in the league.

Tennessee coasted to a 37-19 win in the first meeting in October, and after two consecutive 13-point efforts, I like their offense to get going in this one.

More Week 14 NFL Predictions

  • Chiefs Over Raiders
  • Saints Over Jets
  • Cowboys Over Washington
  • Panthers Over Falcons
  • Seahawks Over Texans
  • Broncos Over Lions
  • Chargers Over Giants
  • Bengals Over 49ers
  • Buccaneers Over Bills
  • Packers Over Bears
  • Cardinals Over Rams

This feels like an easy week for NFL betting. The problem will be deciding which moneylines are worth your time, and also gauging how to approach some of these point spreads.

If you’re just looking for game winners, though, refer to my week 14 NFL predictions above.

KC is red hot and they won’t be slowing down anytime soon. They just crushed these Raiders a few weeks ago, and Las Vegas isn’t about to return the favor on the road.

Taysom Hill has a finger injury bettors should factor into New Orleans’ game with the Jets.

That said, he can still run well, and New York is terrible at defending the pass. Zach Wilson also can’t be trusted, so the Saints feel like an obvious pick going into week 14.

Washington is on fire, but their streak ends here. Dallas is the class of the NFC East, and they should show that in this game – although I expect it to be close.

Seattle should get the job done against a bad Houston team, the Chargers get to face Jake Fromm or Mike Glennon, I can’t see Detroit winning two games in a row, and the Bears are one more loss from kicking Matt Nagy to the curb.

It gets a bit more dicey from there. The Panthers are at home in a battle of washed quarterbacks. They’re a bit healthier, so I’ll side with them.

Cincy is also at home, and their coach isn’t throwing shade at their quarterback. The 49ers can’t say the same.

The two games that feel almost impossible to predict in the NFL in week 14 are the Bills vs. Buccaneers and Rams vs. Cardinals.

These are massive games for all four teams involved, as major seeding and divisional standing repercussions await.

I expect close, high-scoring affairs, but Arizona should hold onto the #1 seed, and the defending champs should edge out the sliding Bills.

Betting on all of these moneylines will only get you so far. However, if you need week 14 NFL predictions, these picks should point you in the right direction.

Best NFL Bets for Week 14

  • Cowboys to Win (-180)
  • Rams vs. Cardinals Over 51 (-110)
  • Lions (+7.5) -112

These are my three favorite NFL bets for week 14. You can also take a look at my week 14 NFL parlay picks to see what I like as far as stringing bets together, but as isolated bets, these three are my favorite right now.

Dallas is going to beat Washington. The Football Team has fought admirably during a four-game winning streak, but the Cowboys are the more talented team. I hope for a hard-fought game, but I see Dallas pulling away to handle the NFC East.

This Rams vs. Cardinals total is too low. Both of these teams average over 28 points per game, while the first meeting was a 37-20 result (57 points). I expect the Rams to show up a bit more offensively and keep this one close, so this should once again involve plenty of scoring.

Detroit is tempting as a straight up bet. However, they just got their first win of the year last week. I’d rather just bet on them to keep this within a touchdown, seeing as they’ve had nine games where they lost by 10 points or fewer.

The Lions are more competitive than people give them credit for, and they wrap up some of my favorite week 14 NFL bets.
