Best NFL Parlay for Week 16

| December 20, 2021 10:50 am PDT

We are closing in on the end of the NFL season, which means we are going to have some tough bets to make in the future. Playoff betting is difficult and this playoff bracket is shaping up to be a very close one.

We have to take advantage of these games now before they become too hard to predict. For this parlay, I am going to be looking for favorable matchups, trends, and valuable odds for every bet.

Once we have our 4 best picks for our parlay, we can calculate how much it can win us for this week of NFL betting. Let’s get right into it.

Indianapolis Colts (+100)

The Colts have a tough task on the road against Arizona, but they are very capable of winning this game. In a 4 leg parlay, plus odds are going to really boost the final odds price.

The Colts are a great underdog pick for this week and have a chance to give the Cardinals their third straight loss after a 10-2 start.

Arizona has hit rock bottom after their massive upset loss to the Detroit Lions last week. This is not the same team that was beating everyone left and right to begin this season.

The Colts on the other hand are getting hot at the right time. Indianapolis is coming off a very impressive win over the New England Patriots.

Their rushing attack is carrying them to wins and the Cardinals have a suspect rush defense. They allow the 5th highest yards per carry in the league (4.6) and the Colts should be able to gash them.

Indianapolis is also a very good defensive team. They are well coached and have playmakers at all three levels. They are tied for first in the league in turnovers and are a solid 9th in points allowed per game (21.4).

With Arizona struggling and missing DeAndre Hopkins for the rest of the season, the Colts have a chance to be an amazing value bet for this week.

Rams vs. Vikings Over 49.5 (-110)

The Rams will be taking on the Vikings this week and this over is looking amazing. These two teams are actually first in second in games when the over hits. The over has hit in 8 out of 13 Vikings’ games (coming into Week 15’s MNF game) and 7 out of 13 Rams’ games.

Both offenses can put up very high points and this game should be very high scoring. I think a realistic score for this one can be 27-24 on the lower end, which would make the over by 1.5 points.

Both of these teams rank in the bottom half of the league in points allowed per game, while ranking in the top 10 in points scored per game. The over is looking like a great bet for this parlay and should be a safer one.

Detroit Lions +4.5 (-110)

The Lions are coming off a surprisingly dominating win over the Cardinals last week and are riding high into their game with the Falcons.

Despite their now 2-11-1 record, the Lions have been one of the best teams in the league ATS. They have covered in an incredible 9 out of 14 games despite their terrible record.

This team may not have any type of star power, but they play very hard. They take on the Atlanta Falcons this week who are a disappointing 6-8 ATS.

I was tempted to take the Lions moneyline here (+180), which would boost the odds even more. Instead, I will settle for the 4.5 point spread, which aligns more with the Lions strengths this season.

Los Angeles Chargers -10 (-105)

The Chargers are in a great bounceback spot against the Texans this week. They suffered a crushing loss to the Chiefs in overtime, as Travis Kelce had a crazy game winning touchdown.

This game will be a great opportunity to get back in the winner’s column and try to solidify their playoff hopes. They have some key players who are heading to the COVID list, so that would be something to monitor going into this game.

Even if they were missing some key players, I would expect the Chargers to still be able to win this game. I would only be worried if Justin Herbert would be ruled out, as they have a lot of pieces who can step up elsewhere.

A 10 point spread should be coverable for this Chargers team, as the Texans are prone to being blown out any week. The Texans are sitting Tyrod Taylor in favor of Davis Mills so they can see if he can be their quarterback for at least another year. That means they are more focused on development than winning, as this season has been a total bust for the Texans.

My Top Parlay for Week 16

Indianapolis Colts to Win+100
Rams vs. Vikings Over 49.5-110
Detroit Lions +4.5-110
LA Chargers -10-105

These 4 bets all have a great chance to hit this week and create a massive payout if they do. If you bet $100 on Bovada with these 4 selections, you will have a payout of $1,323.14.

As I stated earlier, there are ways to increase this even more. I like the Lions moneyline for value purposes, which would boost the odds even more. I trust the spread more, but you can see a huge payout if you take the extra risk.
