Picks and Predictions for the 2022 NFL Conference Championship Games – Sunday, January 30

The road to the 2022 Super Bowl has been both chaotic and highly entertaining. Which way you lean may depend on how you bet on the NFL playoffs a week ago.
This year’s Divisional Round gave us four instant classics. All four games went down to the wire, with three requiring a last second field goal to get us a winner, and the last one going into overtime.
What do the AFC and NFC title games have as an encore? Probably nothing close to that.
This playoff run has been so crazy, that we now enter 2022 NFL Conference Championship Week with two arguable mismatches. The top NFL betting sites have clear favorites in front of us, and it’s on each sports bettor to find the right bet to target.
I’ll do my best to help you navigate the madness, as I offer my NFL predictions and picks for the AFC and NFC title games.
NFL Predictions for Sunday, January 30th
- Chiefs Over Bengals
- Rams Over 49ers
If you’re looking for NFL predictions this week, that probably means you just want to know who will win the NFC and AFC title games. As in, you want straight up picks you can trust.
I’ve been handed out free NFL picks all year, and my straight up NFL picks have done very well. My NFL picks against the spread have also helped bettors finish on the green, but more on that in a second.
Kansas City did lose to Cincinnati during the regular season, but they did not endlessly stave off the Bills last week for nothing. At the end of the day, Patrick Mahomes is on a legacy tour this year. I don’t see anything stopping him from at least reaching his third straight Super Bowl.
The Rams also feel like a team of destiny. Sure, the 49ers have a stingy defense, but they beat an overrated Cowboys team, and it was Green Bay’s special teams that basically handed them a win last week.
L.A. did get swept by the Niners during the regular season, but they’re at home, they’re the more dynamic team, and I don’t think they’ll be denied. Beating any team three times in one season is insanely difficult, and the Rams have felt destined for a title run for much of the year.
The Rams and Chiefs has been a leading Super Bowl 56 matchup all year, and that’s been the expectation. At this point, if they don’t get there, it’d be shocking (and a failure).
I think the odds are good that’s the game fans get.
If you’re talking about value, the Rams (-175) are the better bet between the two.

Conference Championship Picks ATS
- Cincinnati Bengals (+7) +103
- Los Angeles Rams (-3.5) -107
I weirdly don’t anticipate either of these games being all that close. The AFC title game point spread is a bit worrisome, to be honest.
Spreads with plus money always feel like traps, and the fact that the Chiefs are already touchdown favorites is enough to make anyone nervous. KC is very dangerous, they’re at home, and the fashion in which they won last week reminds you they’re never down and out.
Cincinnati has the offensive firepower to match them, though, and they proved a lot by winning the first meeting in week 17.
How significant is the Bengals win over the Chiefs in Week 17?

Even though I think the Chiefs could roll, a Bengals backdoor cover is very much in the cards.
San Francisco is about to run out of gas. They do have the defense and running game to make me look silly, of course, and ignoring two tough road wins wouldn’t be smart.
That said, the Rams probably should have won the second meeting between these two sides, and they just smoked a good Buccaneers team before holding on for the win.
L.A. could dominate on either side of the ball here, and that home crowd will be rocking. Ultimately, this game is probably going to finally force Jimmy Garoppolo to step up and win, and I don’t see him succeeding.
Best Bets for 2022 NFL Conference Championship Week
- Rams to Win (-175)
- Bengals vs. Chiefs Over 54.5 (-110)
- Rams (-3.5) -107
You could probably gather most of my favorite bets for 2022 NFL Conference Championship Week already, but I’ll put them all in one spot for you.
I think we’re getting a Chiefs vs. Rams Super Bowl, and both the AFC and NFC title game are unlikely to be as competitive as everyone hopes for them to be.
While true, I do think the Bengals can still beat the spread, and their game with KC is likely to be the most high-scoring between the two. That 54.5 game total is still pretty hefty, but the first game totaled 65 points, and the Chiefs and Bills game was insane last week.
These feel like the best NFL Conference Championship game bets to make, but I’d probably keep it cool with just two weeks to go before Super Bowl Sunday.
Betting on the 2022 NFL Playoffs
It’s fun to bet on the NFL playoffs across the board, but we’re inching closer to the biggest game of the year.
You can absolutely bet on the games this week based on my NFL predictions and picks above, but I do suggest limiting your betting a bit so you can have an amazing experience during the 2022 Super Bowl.
Once you’re ready to dive into the Super Bowl betting scene, just remember to hit up the best 2022 Super Bowl betting sites.
I definitely have an eye on Super Bowl 56, but this week needs to go down first. If you like the bets detailed above, or are looking for even better options, check out everything Bovada has to offer this weekend.
