Newcastle United vs. Crystal Palace – EPL, February 2, 2021

Both these two clubs won a Premier League game at the weekend – something that hasn’t happened in quite a while. It will now be interesting to see if either of them can capitalize on that and embark on a good run of results now.
Newcastle has probably been the poorer of the two in the last few months but will look to home advantage as a plus on Tuesday.
Newcastle United vs. Crystal Palace Odds
Newcastle might have surprisingly won at Everton at the weekend, but the oddsmakers haven’t seen enough to make them favorites to win this game in midweek. The odds are very close between the three options here, though, making the possibility of a good value bet a little difficult.
Newcastle United vs. Crystal Palace Match Preview
Newcastle looked like a completely different side against Everton on Saturday, as it took the game to its hosts and should probably have won by a bigger margin than the final 2-0 scoreline. Everton was terrible – but Steve Bruce’s players showed a determination that hadn’t been seen for months.
Part of that might be down to a new face on the Newcastle bench, though. Graeme Jones has been brought in to help Bruce – and it was very noticeable that he was the most vocal in the away team’s dugout. If he can have more of an impact on the squad, Newcastle might be able to keep this improvement going.
Roy Hodgson was also celebrating a good win for his Palace side at the weekend. The 1-0 win over Wolves could be seen as revenge for the cup defeat to the same side just a few weeks earlier. But, whatever the inspiration, it was a much-needed victory for the south London club.
There have been some good results since the ten goals Palace conceded in just two games against Liverpool and Aston Villa in December, but another two defeats at the hands of Manchester City and West Ham had suggested that the Eagles could be set to fall down the table again. There is still too much inconsistency in this team to really know how it will perform at the moment.

Newcastle United to Win+177
Newcastle fans will be the last ones to get carried away with the 2-0 win at Goodison Park. But even allowing for the woeful showing from Everton, the Magpies thoroughly deserved the points and looked like a team with some kind of an idea for the first time in a long while. The same fluency might not be evident on Tuesday, but another win at home is certainly possible.
