Thanks to a run of four wins in five games, the Canadians only trail frontrunner Columbus Crew on goal difference. However, New England can take confidence from the fact they drew with the Reds during the MLS is Back Tournament group stage.

Once again, the sportsbooks seem to think that home advantage could have a big say in the outcome of this game. Both sides are in good form, but let’s not forget that Toronto (2.60) currently sits nine points ahead of New England (2.55) in the standings.

Toronto went through a rough patch in September, winning just one of their opening four games last month. But the Ontario outfit has quickly turned things around. Victories over New York City, Columbus, and Philadelphia have seen the Canadians move level with the Crew on 31 points.

The red-hot form of attacking duo Alejandro Pozuelo and Ayo Akinola has been pivotal to the Reds’ recent resurgence. The forwards each have seven goals under thier belt this season, with Pozuelo scoring in each of his previous four appearances.

In fact, Pozuelo’s performances have seen the Spaniard become involved in this year’s MVP conversation. The 29-year-old has added four assists to his seven goals in 2020, and it feels like he is improving with every passing game.

Sure, the Revs are enjoying a decent run at the moment. But I simply can’t look past Toronto FC when picking a winner for this game. The Canadians are in irresistible form right now, so I can see Pozuelo and co. firing the Reds to a fourth straight victory.
