New England heads into this tie as the online sportsbooks’ favorite. However, Nashville’s recent run of results has definitely impacted the bookies’ odds for this game.

Considering the Revs are the hosts on Saturday, odds of 2.00 for the home win seem very generous. But with Nashville on the rise, I also like the look of the prices for the draw and the away win.

It is no secret that New England made a slow start to 2020. Despite going unbeaten in the MLS is Back Tournament group stage, Bruce Arena’s side only managed to win one of their opening six regular-season games.

But following a shaky start, it feels like the Revs have found their feet. The team kicked off their revival with a victory over Chicago Fire before securing an impressive draw against New York City. Gary Smith’s men don’t score many goals. In fact, only FC Cincinnati has netted fewer goals in the Eastern Conference this year. But the newcomer’s defensive efforts have been hugely impressive. Nashville currently sits ninth, but only four teams above them boast a better defensive record.

Nashville is showing signs of developing into a solid MLS regular, but it’s important to remember the team still has a lot to learn. Smith’s side has picked up some eye-catching results recently, but New England will be a very tough opponent.

The Revs will be desperate to secure three straight victories this weekend. With that in mind, odds of 2.00 for the home win seem too good to miss.
