NC Dinos vs. Hanwha Eagles Betting Preview – KBO, Saturday, September 26, 2020
For a brief moment at the start of September, it looked like the Dinos might be caught by the chasing pack. That’s when the league leaders switched to another gear and they have been devastating recently.
The team won nine of the last ten games and now faces the last-placed side in the KBO. And yet, the Eagles are on a winning streak of their own, so it could be a closer clash than the league positions suggest.
I share my expectations in this NC Dinos vs. Hanwha Eagles betting preview that also includes the latest odds, analysis of both sides, my prediction, and a free betting pick.
Dinos vs. Eagles Odds
The NC Dinos vs. Hanwha Eagles odds are a clear indication that the top betting sites expect a one-sided encounter on Saturday. It’s hard to blame them given the form of the Dinos in the past several weeks, but I still don’t think that the underdog should be underestimated here.
NC Dinos Team Analysis
After barely winning the opener against the Twins, the Dinos were absolutely devastating in the second game of the series. They completely shut down the opponent and won by 7-1. It was another excellent performance and the team’s confidence is just on another level.
The Dinos believe they are the best in the KBO and rightfully so. The upcoming series against the Eagles gives them the opportunity to cement the top spot in the standings.
They have already beaten the same opponent three times in 2020 and are expected to send one of their top pitchers. Mike Wright has ten wins as a starter already on a 4.13 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP. He should be able to contain the weakest offense in the league this year and NC’s bullpen is reliable as well.
Hanwha Eagles Team Analysis
I didn’t expect to see five wins in a row by the Eagles, but the team has certainly found some form towards the end of the regular season. Friday’s victory was especially impressive because Hanwha was 5-0 down at the start of the fourth inning and somehow managed to turn it around.
The team’s offense has been better recently and we’ve seen some solid pitching performances too. The latter is a possibility on Saturday too because Min Woo Kim should start. He has a 4.15 ERA and a 1.40 WHIP, so the Dinos could struggle to find many opportunities.
The question is if Hanwha’s bullpen can handle the opposition when Kim is off the field. I think the answer is negative, but there’s only one way to find out.
Dinos vs. Eagles Prediction and Betting Pick
I fancy a win for the Dinos over the Eagles on Saturday, but the odds are simply not worth it. The under 9.5 looks like a better pick, considering the starting pitchers. Both have been excellent this season and Hanwha has the worst offense in the league, so that’s my final choice.
