NBA Predictions and Best Bets – March 15, 2021

The NBA bets things going with a nice eight-game betting slate on Monday. The stars come out on this slate, with Giannis Antetokounmpo starting things off early, and LeBron James hammering things out late.

This is a slate of epic clashes. Giannis and the Bucks take on the Wizards for the second time in mere days, while Kawhi Leonard battles Luka Doncic in Dallas.

Nikola Jokic and LaMelo Ball shock and awe with their passing on Monday, as well, while the night wraps up in style with a showdown between King James and Chef Curry.

Giannis Antetokounmpo leads his 24-14 Bucks into D.C. to battle Russell Westbrook and the Wizards on Monday.

Milwaukee has won three straight and 8 of their last 10. Their last win came against these very Wizards, who gave them a good fight despite not having Bradley Beal on the floor.

Washington should have Beal back for this one, though.

Even so, they’re headed in the wrong direction behind three straight losses.

The Wizards have been competitive over the past month, but their defense still isn’t good, and they lack reliable depth beyond their two stars.

Washington could beat the spread, but the Bucks and the Over are the bets to target confidently.

The points should come in bunches when the Hornets host the Kings on Monday. Charlotte remains a bunch of fun with LaMelo Ball running the offense, while the Hornets are now a little deeper with Devonte’ Graham back in the fold.

Charlotte is looking good at 19-18, as they’ve won three straight, and six of their last 10. They’re a respectable 11-8 at home, and they just handled the Kings (127-126) in Sacramento a few games ago.

Luke Walton is surely only a few more bad losses from getting canned, as the Kings play no defense and are headed in the wrong direction (3-7 over their last 10).

It’ll be tough to bet against Charlotte at home in this spot. I think there will be plenty of points, but the 240 total at BetOnline is pretty obscene. The Under has to be on your radar.

The Spurs have decided to cut ties with LaMarcus Aldridge, which could signal that they may not believe they’re a great bet to make a playoff push.

Whether that ends up being true or not, I like their chances to stay afloat for a while longer.

Facing the hapless Pistons can’t hurt, at least. Detroit is a woeful 10-28 on the year, and they’re just 2-8 over their last 10.

You have every right to be wary of the Knicks. They try to slow games down, and they’re allowing just 105 points per game.

However, this is a good spot for their offense, as the Nets push the pace offensively, and are giving up over 115 points per game on the year.

The Nets are the easy bet here, but the Over (just 225) feels really sneaky. New York only averages 102 points per game, but it’s all about the environment.

Oh, and Nets games have hit the Over 25 times out of 39 games this year.

Los Angeles will attempt to get back on track in Dallas on Monday. They lost last night against the Pelicans, and are now just 4-6 over their last 10 contests.

The Clippers are a tough sell, though. Not only are they operating on the second leg of a back-to-back set, but they’re also on the road against a good Mavericks team.

That, and they’ve been known to rest their stars in these types of situations.

Patrick Beverley also sat out last night’s game and is sidelined with a knee issue, so there is a laundry list of reasons to go away from L.A. here.

Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets host a Pacers team they just beat in Indiana a few games ago (113-103). Denver has been in fine form overall, going 7-3 over their last 10 games, too.

Jokic could have a field day against a Pacers team that doesn’t rebound well.

However, there’s no denying Indiana got a lift with the debut of Caris LeVert in their last game.

LeVert’s role will only grow from here, and the Pacers may require a big performance out of him if they’re to give Denver a good fight on the road.

I still like Denver to win, but the Pacers ATS looks like a fine secondary bet.

The Grizzlies did the unthinkable on Sunday in losing to a completely battered Thunder squad. Now bettors are to expect them to go into Phoenix and upend the Suns?

Somehow, I doubt it.

Memphis could be a bit worn down after playing yesterday, and Phoenix plays stingy defense. The Suns have also been very disciplined for weeks now. They’re 8-2 over their last 10 games, and are allowing just 107 points per game.

The season series is tied, but I don’t expect the Suns to let Memphis take control here.

This has “game of the night” contender written all over it. The Lake Show has been much more human as a collective with Anthony Davis sidelined, so this should be a pretty close game.

The two have split the season series (1-1) so far, and Golden State just announced their presence with a huge win over the Jazz yesterday.

Two massive wins in a row feels like a tall order, of course.

L.A. is beaten up and they’re just 4-6 over their last 10 games, but this is a good spot for them. LeBron James should deliver a vintage performance as he takes out Stephen Curry to inch closer to the top seed in the west.

These NBA bets stand out the most for Monday. This is a fun eight-game basketball betting slate to get the week started, and I think if you build around these NBA picks, you’ll be headed in the right direction.

Charlotte to win by four feels like it’s asking a bit much for a team that is just 5-5 ATS when favored, but I still think the Hornets get the win.

That game total (240!) is a bit out of control. It could get there, but I’d feel a lot better going with the Over in the Nets game. New York’s pace tends to slow things down, but the Nets score 121+ points per game and play next to no defense.

Dallas at +100 as a slight home dog feels like a win, too. The Mavs are surging (7-3 over their last 10), and the Clippers could be tired (and/or rest guys) after playing last night.
