NBA Predictions and Top Picks – March 10, 2021

The Association is back in action on Wednesday, with two games hitting the hardwood after a brief hiatus for the All-Star break.

See who is in action on March 10th, should you plan on betting on the NBA tonight.

The NBA leaves for five days, and this is what it announces its return with? Not only do bettors only have two games to work with, but these are the games the league chose?

Disappointing, to be sure.

That said, Washington at least pushes the pace, and this slate still offers some nice star power with Luka Doncic, Bradley Beal, and Russell Westbrook in action.

The Wizards got off to a ghastly start to begin the 2020-21 NBA season, but they’re now at a more palatable 14-20.

Washington has a shot at the playoffs in the horrific Eastern Conference, and after getting some rest, I imagine they get things going again on Wednesday.

The Wiz are 7-3 over their last 10 games, too, so they’re certainly headed in the right direction. 

It’s worth noting that the Grizzlies have the advantage down low with Jonas Valanciunas, but Washington has more star power, and their pace could wear Memphis out.

The Grizzlies are just 7-11 at home, but they have a solid defense, and they’re 18-14 against the spread. I like the Wiz straight up, the Over, and Memphis ATS (assuming they end up being the underdogs).

The other game on Wednesday has the Spurs visiting the Mavs in Dallas. Both teams are hovering right around .500, and at the moment are the last two squads in the Western Conference playoffs.

Dallas is in much better form, however. They’ve won three straight, and are 8-2 over their last 10 games.

Dallas won the only prior meeting this year in a 122-117 shootout, where Luka Doncic had himself a game with 36 points, 11 dimes, and nine rebounds.

The Mavs have taken four of the last five games in this series, and are operating at full strength.

San Antonio could be getting bodies back thanks to the relief of the break, but it’s still possible they won’t be at 100%.

All signs point to Dallas here, while the Over may also be in play.

There are just two games on this slate, and only two bets really stand out for me. I already detailed that I like Washington and Dallas straight up, and those feel like the best NBA bets on Wednesday.

The Wizards actually offer elite betting value as +135 underdogs. Should they really be dogs against Memphis? Not if we look at the team the Wizards have been over the last few weeks.

Dallas is on the upward swing, too. They’re at home, they’re the better team, and their -177 price is pretty solid, overall.

You can stretch things a bit further with Dallas ATS, and Washington at +3.5 is also a bit safer than a straight up bet.
