NBA Predictions and Best Bets – February 6, 2021

Planning on betting on the NBA on Saturday? You better start your research early. A massive 11-game slate gets started at 12 pm CT, and it doesn’t let up.
Before you get your bets in, see who is playing on February 6th, 2021.
- Portland Trail Blazers vs. New York Knicks
- Denver Nuggets vs. Sacramento Kings
- Chicago Bulls vs. Orlando Magic
- Toronto Raptors vs. Atlanta Hawks
- Milwaukee Bucks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
- San Antonio Spurs vs. Houston Rockets
- Brooklyn Nets vs. Philadelphia 76ers
- Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
- Golden State Warriors vs. Dallas Mavericks
- Memphis Grizzlies vs. New Orleans Pelicans
- Detroit Pistons vs. Los Angeles Lakers
I’ll help you attack this slate by pushing my NBA predictions, and top betting picks extra early.
Just keep in mind that with 11 games, there is a ton of news to consider, and you’ll also likely see some line movement at the top NBA betting sites.
Damian Lillard and Ben Simmons are probably the biggest names to monitor, while the Lakers and other teams could always opt to rest some guys.
I’ll work with what I have, for now, so let’s dive into Saturday’s NBA predictions and picks.
Portland Trail Blazers vs. New York Knicks Predictions
- Blazers to beat Knicks
- Predicted total: 220-225
The Blazers could be without Damian Lillard after their superstar rested last game, but I’d imagine he’s back for this one.
Portland is really beat up health-wise right now, so they need their main guy back. Despite that, the Blazers banded together to oust the 76ers on the road in their last game.

One of Portland's most impressive performances of the season
Trent Jr. 24pts
Melo 22pts/5ast
Kanter 17pts/18reb
Elleby 15pts/7reb#RipCity
They are a total mismatch for the Knicks, as they play fast and can put up a ton of points. Provided Lillard is back, I love the Blazers in this spot.
Denver Nuggets vs. Sacramento Kings Predictions
- Nuggets to beat Kings
- Predicted total: 220-225
Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets weren’t nearly good enough in a loss to the Lakers their last time out. I tend to think they’ll be significantly better in a smash spot versus the Kings.
Denver is still a solid 7-3 over their last 10, so they’re trending in the right direction.
Sacramento is riding a nice two-game winning streak, but their defense (118 points allowed per game) on the year is abysmal. Denver should roll here.
Chicago Bulls vs. Orlando Magic Predictions
- Bulls to beat Magic
- Predicted total: 210-215
Chicago and Orlando face off again after meeting up on Friday. The Bulls play really fast and have younger legs, so I like them more on the second leg of a back-to-back set.
Nikola Vucevic should feast, but look for Chicago to get a nice road win.
Toronto Raptors vs. Atlanta Hawks Predictions
- Raptors to beat Hawks
- Predicted total: 220-225
The Hawks missed Trae Young in their last game, where they fell at home to the Jazz. Keep an eye on his status, as him sitting out again would hurt the Hawks considerably.
Toronto faced the Nets last night, so they could be a bit worn down. However, they’re overall quite healthy, and they’ve been solid lately (6-4 over their last 10).
Atlanta isn’t a team to fear usually, and they’re just 5-7 on their home floor. The Raptors look like a nice road value play on Saturday.
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Predictions
- Bucks to beat Cavaliers
- Predicted total: 225-230
The Bucks face the Cavs yet again after getting them last night. Cleveland could be somewhat sneaky at home here, in the event Milwaukee opted to rest anyone.
For now, you have to assume Giannis Antetokounmpo and everyone else will be ready to rock. If so, the Bucks should be a hammer bet on this slate.
San Antonio Spurs vs. Houston Rockets Predictions
- Spurs to beat Rockets
- Predicted total: 220-225
San Antonio looks like a solid play on Saturday, as they basically can only win on the road (6-3 away from home).
They also get a little help with Houston big man Christian Wood getting hurt.
Christian Wood will undergo an MRI tomorrow to determine the severity of his ankle injury, a source said. He missed three games after rolling the ankle in similarly ugly fashion last month. https://t.co/2Utucal9b0

Wood’s likely absence does open the door to DeMarcus Cousins having a big outing, but it’s still a downgrade. Victor Oladipo should be back after resting on Thursday, but the Spurs look like a quality road pick.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Philadelphia 76ers Predictions
- 76ers to beat Nets
- Predicted total: 235-240
Brooklyn is a threat to rest someone after playing on Friday, and they have quite the tall order of trying to get a win in Philly.
The 76ers have been amazing (10-2) at home this year and own one of the league’s best records at 16-7.
Ben Simmons rested in Philly’s most recent game, but bettors can expect the Sixers to be at full strength here.
Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Predictions
- Thunder to beat Timberwolves
- Predicted total: 215-220
OKC welcomes Minnesota back for an encore, as these two just played on Friday.
OKC looks like a reasonable bet with this game again at their place, especially if Shai Gilgeous-Alexander can make his return to the floor.
Minnesota is on the road, both teams played last night, and Karl-Anthony Towns is still out. I loved the T’Wolves as a sneaky upset pick on Friday, but not for the second day in a row.
Golden State Warriors vs. Dallas Mavericks Predictions
- Mavericks to beat Warriors
- Predicted total: 230-235
The world hyped up the showdown between Stephen Curry and Luka Doncic on Thursday, and for one glorious half, that matchup exceeded expectations.
Dallas sputtered in the second half and lost by 31, though, dropping them to second to last place in the Western Conference.
I know I should quit the Mavs, but they’re at home, and they’re better than this. Right?
Memphis Grizzlies vs. New Orleans Pelicans Predictions
- Pelicans to beat Grizzlies
- Predicted total: 215-220
After a nice winning streak, Memphis is starting to fall apart. They’ve dropped two in a row, and they’re just really banged up right now.
The Grizzlies don’t have the manpower needed to stop Zion Williamson inside, while the Pels have the perimeter defenders to give Ja Morant fits.
This feels like a great spot to trust in New Orleans.
Detroit Pistons vs. Los Angeles Lakers Predictions
- Lakers to beat Pistons
- Predicted total: 210-215
The last game of the night is a likely bloodbath, as the Lakers host the ailing Pistons. Detroit is just 5-16 on the year, and they’ve gone 1-9 on the road.
L.A. could easily rest some guys in this spot, but even if they do, it’s hard to get excited about the Pistons even beating the spread.
