Top NBA Player Prop Bets for Wednesday, February 9th, 2022

| February 9, 2022 12:46 pm PDT

My most recent edition of NBA player props didn’t deliver. The Nets got destroyed early on, which kept Patty Mills from living up to expectations despite Brooklyn being severely shorthanded.

Anfernee Simons and Davion Mitchell were also in amazing spots, and just didn’t get to where I thought they could. The good news? King James hit three treys in a loss to the Bucks.

One out of four isn’t my goal, so let’s turn it around on Wednesday with four of my favorite NBA player props.

Coby White to Make 3+ Threes (-109)

This feels like a large number, but it probably isn’t. Coby White has a clear scoring role these days, and he’s hit multiple three-pointers in four of his last five games.

His role is secure with both Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso out, but that’s even more so the case tonight with Ayo Dosunmu taking a seat due to a concussion.

Dosunmu had been logging minutes in the high 30s, so it would make sense for White to soak up some of the time he’s leaving behind.

I’d love some extra burn to feel amazing about this prop, but the reality is White is a solid bet to get there, regardless. Look at White’s threes per game and Charlotte’s perimeter defense on the year.

  • 2 made threes per game by White
  • 14.1 made threes allowed per game by Hornets (2nd most)

It’s a recipe for success for White.

He already likes to launch the long ball, his role is growing, and Charlotte hasn’t been good at stopping the three all year. Charlotte’s fast pace of play only adds to the allure here.

Anthony Edwards Over 29+ Points+Rebounds+Assists (-114)

I really like a lot of Timberwolves prop bets for tonight. You can take this same energy and logic and target any bets dealing with Karl-Anthony Towns, as well.

Edwards has been up and down lately, and much more down in his last game. Oddly enough, another one of his weak efforts came against the Kings, but he also only logged 26 minutes in a blowout.

His shooting stroke has a decent chance of returning tonight, as he gets the same sweet matchup.

Take a quick look at Sacramento’s key rankings for the year.

  • 7th in pace
  • 29th in defensive efficiency
  • 29th in scoring defense

Yeah, it hasn’t been pretty.

Edwards is better than he’s shown of late, too, and this 29 total isn’t really a high bar. This is a guy who averages 21.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game on the season (31+ total on average), too.

Karl-Anthony Towns to Make 2+ Threes (-120)

I mentioned KAT, and you can honestly target the Over for him for just about anything that looks appealing. I prefer the two made threes, though.

Towns hit exactly two three-pointers in this same exact matchup last night, and in two meetings with Sacramento he’s averaging 23.5 points per contest.

Last night he dropped 25 points on them, and he did it in just 28 minutes.

Sacramento’s defense isn’t anything to write home about, and this prop seemingly forgets that KAT likes to shoot from long range. Towns has connected from deep in seven of his last nine games.

On the year, Towns makes 2.1 threes per game, and launches 5.3, while hitting at a stellar 40.9% clip.

The dude can shoot. He also doesn’t hesitate. The matchup, his talent, his averages, and his tendencies all point to a solid chance at success here, and at a cool -120 price.

My Top NBA Player Prop for Wednesday Night

  • Anfernee Simons Over 29+ Points+Rebounds+Assists

I’m going back to the Simons well tonight. He burned me last night, but so did almost everyone. He still has a huge role for the Blazers, who traded away three starters recently, and continue to be without Damian Lillard.

Simons is what’s going to make Portland go offensively, and tonight he hosts a weak Lakers team.

L.A. still can’t defend very well, and the Lake Show (5th in pace) likes to run. There should be plenty of scoring to be had here, and I’d imagine Simons gets his hands in a little bit of everything.

His total drops from what I took a crack at last night, and yet the -112 price is still very appealing. You can find this and all of these other bets at BetOnline. If you’re ready to bet, visit BetOnline to get in on the action now.
