Top NBA Player Prop Bets for Monday, January 31, 2022

My last installment of NBA player props were a hit. LaMelo Ball was my only miss (3-1 on Friday), while Devin Book hit 4+ threes to return really nice value (+164) for willing bettors.

The type of NBA player props you target – and where you bet – is up to you. However, every day, I single out my personal favorite NBA player prop bets, and let you know why I like them.

Let’s see what looks good heading into Monday’s eight-game NBA betting slate.

I’ll start today’s best NBA player props off with what feels like a steal. Ja Morant hits 1.6 threes per game, and has been tasked with carrying more of the offensive burden this season.

Morant isn’t specifically known for his outside shooting, but he’s shown zero reluctance to fire away from long range lately.

Over his last six contests, he’s hoisted 5+ triples five times, and he’s hit multiple treys in all of those games.

It’s arguable the volume may not be the same against a solid 76ers defense (7th best defense against the three), but no Joel Embiid likely changes things.

Embiid’s absence will open things up for Memphis quite a bit. Morant is already putting up the numbers to suggest this prop is a steal, so I’d act now.

Sabonis has been very busy lately for the Pacers. He’s only been back for two games following an injury, but he’s smashed in both contests.

He specifically went ham in overtime two games ago against the Thunder.

Indy is severely under-manned these days, and they walk into Monday still down guys like Myles Turner and Malcolm Brogdon. It’s possible even more players could sit this one out, too.

This is admittedly a high total, but it’s one he’s surpassed in his last two games, and should have a fantastic shot at doing so again on Monday.

I am eyeing smash spots at beautiful prices tonight, and it continues with Julius Randle potentially going full scorched-earth on the Kings.

Sacramento remains bad defensively. Just take a look at some of their stats for the year.

Insert Randle, who has had an up and down year, but still has the role and ability to crush in this spot.

It’s a bit risky, largely because Randle only averages 18.5 points per game on the year, and hasn’t topped 20+ points in any of his last three contests.

Still, he’s perfectly capable of getting there, and the Kings are a nice “get right” spot for a lot of players. I think Randle cooks in this one, and you can get a palatable scoring total at plus money.

I am aiming high here, to be sure. If you want to play it safer and still get solid value, go with Giddey to hit 32+ (-106). That’s a much safer bet.

However, I love the upside here. Giddey is going to be taking over the show for the Thunder, as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is on the shelf through the NBA All-Star break.

The Blazers rank dead last in assists allowed per game, they’re 27th in points allowed per game, and they rank 26th in threes allowed per game. This is not a tough matchup for Giddey at all, and I see no reason not to go for 40+ given the amazing price.
