Top NBA Player Prop Bets for Wednesday, January 19, 2022

Yesterday’s NBA player props were a nightmare. I targeted two Anthony Edwards props out of my four-pack, and he just missed on both.

That’s what can happen on a tiny two-game slate, as the pickings are slim. Things balloon on Wednesday, of course, as bettors have a whopping 13-game schedule to work with.

Need to brush up on your NBA prop betting game? Check out our guide to betting on NBA props. If you’re ready to roll, dive in with my top four NBA player prop bets for January 19, 2022.

Kyrie Irving to Get 5+ Assists (-172)

The Nets are basically a two-man crew right now. Kyrie Irving is one of their top superstars they’ll be turning to, as Kevin Durant is on the shelf for the next month with a knee injury.

James Harden is Brooklyn’s main playmaker, but with no KD, Irving will get his share of assist opportunities. Irving reminded everyone of his ability to set up his teammates in his last game, too, when he dished out nine dimes.

I don’t think approaching nine assists every game is realistic, but 5+ is a reachable goal. The price is good enough, so visit BetOnline to jump on this prop now.

Nikola Vucevic to Score 19+ Points (+106)

Sticking with NBA player props worth targeting at BetOnline, you can bet on Vuc to score 19 or more points tonight. Getting this at plus money is the kicker for me, but you can always play it a bit safer (17+ at -172) if you’d like.

Vucevic is going to be needed here, however. Zach LaVine is still sidelined, so the Bulls need to get their scoring from somewhere.

Luckily for Vuc, the matchup sets up best for him, as well. The Cleveland Cavaliers have become a stingy defensive team, but they’re most vulnerable down low this year.

Vucevic only averages 16.1 points per game on the season, but scored 27 two games ago. As a key part of Chicago’s success tonight – and given the injuries to his team – I love Vuc to pop off a bit as a scorer.

Domantas Sabonis Over 39+ Points+Rebounds+Assists (-118)

Sabonis should be pretty busy tonight. His Indiana Pacers are on the road, but they get the league’s third fastest team in the Lakers in terms of pace.

L.A. is still without Anthony Davis, which has played into the Lake Show allowing the third most points per game on the year. The Lakers also rank pretty poorly in key areas.

  • 26th in points allowed per game inside the paint
  • 20th in three-pointers allowed per game
  • 26th in opponent rebounds per game
  • 28th in opponent assists per game

Oof. The Lakers can put up some points when they’re in a groove, but they are a pretty attackable matchup for the opposition.

Insert Sabonis, who can get very busy on the glass (11.9 rebounds per game), is an exceptional passer (4.7 assists per game), and also puts up nearly 19 points per contest.

On top of all that, big man Myles Turner isn’t on hand for this one. I think if the Pacers can keep this competitive, Sabonis will have a massive stat line and easily hit the Over here.

Wednesday’s Top NBA Player Prop Bet

Pick
  • Ja Morant to Make 2+ Threes
    -189

Ja Morant is going to have to do a lot of the heavy-lifting for Memphis tonight. Perhaps the defensive-minded Grizzlies just try to slow the game down, but he should still be very busy.

That’ll happen when both Desmond Bane and Dillon Brooks are sidelined.

Morant already makes 1.5 treys per game, but he may launch from long range a bit more tonight. I can’t imagine it hurts that the Bucks are top-10 in pace and give up the second most made threes per contest, either.

The price may not be amazing, but it’s still good enough to attack based on the matchup and logic. You can get a bit more ambitious (3+ makes, +129) if you’d like.

All of these NBA player props look good for Wednesday, and all four can be found at BetOnline. To get in on the action – whether it’s with these props or others – visit BetOnline now.
