Top NBA Player Prop Bets for Thursday, January 13, 2022

| January 13, 2022 11:58 am PDT

After a nice run, my NBA player props hit a snag last night. Joel Embiid was one three-pointer away from converting on a cool +146 price, while Dejounte Murray needed one block (+100) to get another win.

It wasn’t my night for NBA player prop bets, but I’d been handing out some winners, so the goal is to simply bounce back and hit some wagers on Thursday.

Thursday’s NBA betting slate offers just five games, but there are still some NBA player props that look attractive. Here are my favorites for January 13, 2022.

Khris Middleton to Score 21+ Points (-120)

Betting on points scored can be dicey, especially as you get closer to 20+ actual points. I like the price for this prop at, however, and Middleton should be busy with Jrue Holiday out tonight.

Middleton has been crushing as a scorer lately, too. This total isn’t far off of his season average (19.1), but he’s been in a groove with 20+ points scored in each of his last four games.

Tonight he does draw a tough matchup with the Dubs, but opportunity knocks a bit louder with Holiday out.

Terance Mann Over 17+ Points+Rebounds+Assists (-123)

Everyone is talking about Amir Coffey’s explosion recently, but I’d rather just hitch a ride to Mann’s Over here. He still has a solid role, and in his last game he replaced Nicolas Batum in the second half.

Mann is going to get 25-30 minutes no matter what, so unless that changes suddenly, he feels like a solid bet to be pretty active.

This prop just requires 17 total assists, rebounds, and points. Mann can hit that by scoring alone, but he’s safely topped this mark four times in his last seven games, regardless.

Mann looks like a solid bet to do so again versus the Pelicans tonight. New Orleans enters the night ranked 27th in defensive efficiency, so Mann could have plenty of success here.

Robert Covington Over 19 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-105)

You can go with the Mann prop, but I like this one even more. Portland is in a bad way right now. Damian Lillard just had surgery, Norm Powell and C.J. McCollum are out, and even Anfernee Simons left the land of the living.

It’s not a small loss, either.

This is going to give the Blazers a tight rotation. We already saw the impact recently, as Covey has logged 34 minutes in each of his last three contests.

Given the run, he can easily top this total. He’s done so twice during that three-game stretch, after all.

My Top NBA Player Prop for 1/13

  • James Harden to Make 3+ Threes

The price is fine in theory, but for any random guy to get three made threes at -185, I can understand balking. It’s James Harden, though, and tonight he’s all by himself.

Seriously, not only are Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant not playing, but even Patty Mills is on the sidelines.

That will lead to Harden eating a ton of usage, and this is a guy already making 2.4 treys per contest. You can bet Harden to be as active as ever in this spot.

It can’t hurt that he faces a Thunder team that ranks 28th in made threes allowed per game, either.
