Top NBA Player Prop Bets for Monday, January 10, 2022 – LaMelo Ball and More

Monday is undeniably all about the College Football National Championship. While true, there are still seven NBA games hitting the schedule on January 10, and there are some nice opportunities to make some money.

I look to hand out some winning NBA player props every night, and will aim to do so again on Monday.
LaMelo Ball Over 3+ Made Threes (+120)
Let’s aim high with LaMelo Ball tonight. You can play it slightly safer with him making two or more threes (-217), but I like the value with three over at BetOnline.
There are a few reasons why Ball topping this mark looks good.
- Ball averages 2.7 made threes per game
- LaMelo shoots 38% from long range
- Milwaukee allows the third most threes per game
Ball is not shy about firing from long range. He makes nearly three three-pointers per game on the year, Milwaukee hasn’t prevented the long ball well, and the guy is going to let it fly.
After all, he certainly got it done against the Bucks back in December.
Ball is an explosive scorer and he’s actually hitting at a solid 38% clip from outside on the year. Given the pace and chaos in this game, I think he can hit three from long range and return nice betting value in the process.
Royce O’Neale Over 8+ Points (+123)
I don’t know if this NBA player prop necessarily is safer, but it is certainly logical. O’Neale is far from a key offensive producer for the Jazz, but his role is a bit more cemented these days.
Joe Ingles, Rudy Gobert, and Rudy Gay are all listed as out for Monday.
Jazz Injury Report (as of 1/10):
*OUT – Jared Butler (Health & Safety Protocols)
OUT – Joe Ingles (Health & Safety protocols)
OUT – Rudy Gobert (Health & Safety Protocols)
OUT – Elijah Hughes (Health & Safety Protocols)
OUT – Rudy Gay (Health & Safety Protocols)— Utah Jazz (@utahjazz) January 10, 2022
That means O’Neale is locked into as much run as usual – if not more.
His matchup with the Detroit Pistons looks great on paper, and he should see a few more scoring opportunities than usual.
While his usage rate won’t impress you, Royce already averages 7.4 points per game on the season. He’s also cleared this scoring plateau three times in his last five games, so with a little added opportunity and a nice matchup, I like his chances of getting 8+ points tonight.
Nassir Little Over 30+ Points+Rebounds+Assists (+420)
This prop is available with less risk (as low as 20+ at -182), and the price is still really good. You can even settle down somewhere in the middle (24+ at +127), but this is a terrific spot to go for it tonight.
Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum are both still sidelined, and now even Norm Powell won’t be on hand tonight.
Another man down. (Norm to enter health and safety protocols)
Lalaban parin tayo Rip City! #TrailBlazersPHhttps://t.co/9WqyUlm2gf— Portland Trail Blazers Philippines (@trailblazersph) January 10, 2022
Portland could get housed here, but Little is going to be needed. Blowout or not, I don’t see much reason that he wouldn’t play 30+ minutes, and he’s bound to be heavily involved here.
Obviously he needs a big game against the Nets, but given the pace of this game (Nets are 6th in pace) and the role he could be looking at, I love the idea of targeting the 30+ bet.
My Top NBA Player Prop for 1/10

Matisse Thybulle Over 2+ Steals-143
This isn’t the greatest price for a guy to get two steals, but I’ve also seen worse. You know how likely it is for Thybulle to snag at least one theft, though? So likely that BetOnline attaches -1000 odds to it happening.
That isn’t worth your time, but Thybulle averages 1.8 steals per contest, and he gets to face a Rockets team that leads the league in turnovers.
Thybulle has recorded multiple steals in six of his last eight full games. Based on the matchup and his skill-set, I think there’s a great chance he does it again tonight.
