Top NBA Player Prop Bets for Friday, January 28, 2022 – Devin Booker to Catch Fire and More
Now this is more like it. After a weak two-game NBA betting slate yesterday, Friday caps off the week in style with 11 games on the schedule.
That gives bettors plenty of ways to make money tonight. My favorite way remains betting on NBA player props, and there are so many options to fall in love with on this slate.
If you haven’t already, pick a reliable site to work with. You can check out the top NBA betting sites if you need to make that decision, but for this post I’ll be highlighting the best NBA player props over at BetOnline on Friday night.
Last night’s four-pack went 2-2, but I’ll be shooting for above .500 tonight. Here are my favorite four NBA player prop bets for tonight’s action.
LaMelo Ball Over 36+ Points+Rebounds+Assists (-116)
This bet is mildly contingent on the Lakers not sitting all of their studs.
Anthony Davis took his usual trip to the locker room last night, and it’s possible LeBron James could sit for a second straight game. Both could still play, of course, and this showdown between the Hornets and Lakers has a healthy 227 total.
Assuming this game stays close, LaMelo Ball could be very busy in a fast-paced environment. Ball just proved once again in his last game that he’s an elite stat-stuffer, after all.

With season averages of 19.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 7.7 assists per game, he comes close to hitting this total, already. It’s hard not to love him in this game environment – especially if the Lake Show can keep it close.
Bam Adebayo Over 33+ Points+Rebounds+Assists (-109)
I expect Bam Bam to be very busy tonight. He has a big role no matter what, but Kyle Lowry is still out, and Jimmy Butler’s status figures to be up in the air.
#LACvsMIA UPDATE: Jimmy Butler (left big toe irritation) is listed as questionable to play in tomorrow’s game vs the Clippers.— Miami HEAT (@MiamiHEAT) January 27, 2022
Kyle Lowry (personal reasons), Markieff Morris (return to competition reconditioning) and KZ Okpala (wrist) have been ruled out.
Regardless of what happens with Butler, this is a good spot for Adebayo.
Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid smashed in this same spot over the past week, and we know Adebayo has a versatile skill-set. Adebayo comes in averaging 17.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game on the year. He’s coming off of a down game, but he’s going to be leaned on in this one.
I like this bet if Butler plays, but love it if he’s out.
C.J. McCollum to Score 22+ Points (-108)
I love this Blazers vs. Rockets game for DFS purposes, but I think it could be a nice place to get comfortable with your NBA player props, too.
It’s true that Portland is spreading out the offensive workload a bit, but McCollum has historically offered a nice floor and ceiling as a scorer. He’s averaging 20.4 points per game this year, and this is the type of matchup where he could really get it going.
I don’t mind attacking this one as high as 30+ (+269!), but I think 22 is a nice mark just above his season average.
My Top NBA Player Prop for Friday, 1/28
Devin Booker to Make 4+ Threes+164
Devin Booker is going to cook tonight.
He’s had to take on a larger scoring load lately with star center Deandre Ayton out, and the big man is again on the sidelines tonight. That should keep Booker busy, while he has a soft matchup against a weak Minnesota defense. The Timberwolves are top-10 in pace, and currently rank 22nd in made threes allowed per game (13).
He’s taken it upon himself to elevate the Suns lately, as well. It’s led to some big scoring nights, as well as 2+ made threes in four of his last seven games.
Role and matchup come together to make a fun bet tonight. If you want to play it safe, drop down to three made threes (-179), but I love the value here. I like all of these NBA player props for Friday night. If you like the props and prices – or even if you just want more options – head over to BetOnline now.
