MNF Player Prop Bets – Baltimore Ravens vs. Cleveland Browns (NFL Week 14, 2020)
NFL fans get an underrated game to close out the week on Monday Night Football in week 14. The Cleveland Browns shoot for an incredible 10 wins, and at the same time, hope to prove they’re for real.
It may be easier said than done against the Ravens, who embarrassed them earlier this year, and also have their own playoff lives to fight for.
The betting odds favor the Ravens in this spot, and if you want to bet on this contest itself, check our NFL picks section (linked above). There are other ways to make money betting on this game, though, and targeting player props for MNF is one of them.
For my favorite Ravens vs. Browns player props bets during Monday Night Football, read on.
Lamar Jackson Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+152)
Jackson returned to the field last week and toasted the Cowboys without even trying. He has a much tougher test on MNF against the Browns, of course.
It’s hard to not like his chances to find some success in this spot, of course. Jackson has always played pretty well in this matchup, and he hung three passing scores on Cleveland to start the season in week one.
Cleveland’s defensive strength is not their secondary, either, as the Browns have allowed the 8th most passing yards and 4th most passing touchdowns in 2020.
I wouldn’t bet on a Jackson passing yardage prop, but I think two scores at +152 is a steal.
Kareem Hunt Over 2.5 Receptions (+140)
Nick Chubb has been a favorite of mine when it comes to NFL player props, but I’d rather target his backup in week 14.
Hunt is probably going to be much more active in this one, as I expect the Ravens to lead. That could force Baker Mayfield to take it to the air for the majority of this game, and at some point, Hunt’s number will be called as a receiver.
Baltimore isn’t a good matchup, but they haven’t exactly shut down running backs as receivers this year. This also a pretty tame reception total, especially when you note that Hunt has recorded three or more catches five different times.
He’s caught multiple balls in nine games, as well.
This feels like a great spot for Hunt, who also hauled in four of six targets in this same matchup in week one.
Lamar Jackson Over 54.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
If you’re betting on Monday Night Football player props for week 14, you will likely want to have some exposure to more than one Lamar Jackson wager.
His passing yardage is seemingly always curbed and tough to predict, though, so the only other wagers I’d really consider are if he’ll score on the ground (he probably will) and his rushing yardage total.
Cleveland does a great job against running backs, but they gave up 45 rushing yards to Jackson in week one on just seven attempts. He’s also been feeling it lately, with 51+ rushing yards and 11+ attempts on the ground in each of his last five contests.
That includes 94 yards on the ground last week, largely thanks to explosive plays like this.
Jackson is capable of busting off a 55-yarder and converting this MNF prop immediately. I’d definitely hit the Over here.
Jarvis Landry Over 4.5 Receptions (-130)
If you think the Browns have a negative game script that demands they throw it a bit in this one (and I do), then Landry’s reception total may be on your radar.
This is honestly one of my favorite Ravens vs. Browns player prop bets regardless of game flow, as Landry is Cleveland’s top receiver in a huge game.
One way or another, the guy is going to be involved in this one. It’s worth noting he’s drawn 10+ targets (with 16 total catches) in each of his last two outings, and he hauled in five of six passes the first time he saw Baltimore, too.
Landry will be needed here. His role has also been fantastic, and 4.5 receptions seems like a relatively mild mark to top.
Mark Andrews to Score a Touchdown (+150)
Another one of my favorite Monday Night Football player props for week 14 is Ravens tight end Mark Andrews finding the end-zone.
One might think he’s had a bad year, but he and Lamar Jackson have both missed some time due to COVID-19. Now that Andrews is back this week, we can hang our hat on the connection between these two -, particularly in the red-zone.
Andrews hauled in 10 touchdowns a year ago and has six in 2020 over 10 contests. He’s on a fine pace yet again, and he’ll be a major threat to score here.
Cleveland’s major weakness through the air has actually come against tight ends. The Browns have given up the third-most receptions, the 7th most yardage, and the 4th most touchdowns to the position.
Unshockingly, Andrews scored twice the last time he faced the Browns. At a cool +150, I’m all for betting on him scoring in week 14.
This is a huge game for both sides. The Browns still have a real shot at the AFC North title, and even if they don’t, they’re looking at a locked in playoff spot and a high seed.
Baltimore, however, is in trouble if they lose here. Sweeping Cleveland would give them a great chance at making the playoffs, though, and getting this second win might even end up getting them past the Browns when it comes to playoff seeding.
There are plenty of ways to attack this game at your favorite NFL betting sites. If you do any props betting, hopefully, my picks above help you in some manner.
Good luck, and enjoy the game!
