Game 3 Pick for Warriors vs. Mavericks – Sunday, May 22nd, 2022

The Golden State Warriors have taken a 2-0 series lead over the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals. Dallas will be happy to be back on their home court and will be trying to get their first win of the series.
Game 2 was much closer than Game 1, but the Warriors were still able to get the win. The Mavericks had a very strong chance of winning that game actually, as they led by 19 at one point.
Golden State can turn a game around instantly though and that’s exactly what they did. Steph Curry and company led the Warriors to an incredible comeback. Game 3 will sure be interesting given the series score and it being in Dallas.
Let’s take a look at the odds for Warriors vs. Mavericks Game 3 on Sunday.

Some of you might be surprised to see the Warriors as underdogs on the best NBA betting sites after the first two games. I would say that the odds are very close anyways, so Dallas is hardly a favorite.
The books know just how important home court advantage is, especially in the playoffs. If it weren’t for the Warriors being at home, they might not have had the energy to mount a tremendous comeback.

Now that the Mavs get to play at home, they could have a very strong chance of getting their first win of the series.
The over/under is being set around 219.5 as well. The first game had a total of 199, while the second was way higher at 243.
This should be a very interesting game for this series. If the Warriors win, they would be just one game away from being in the NBA Finals. Dallas would be devastated to lose at home and be down 3-0.
The Mavericks are definitely the more desperate team, so they absolutely need to win this game. Let’s get right into the matchup breakdown for this game before we make our bets.
Warriors vs. Mavericks Matchup Preview
In Game 1, the Warriors basically dominated from the start. They led by 30 at one point, while Dallas was only able to lead by 2 earlier in the first quarter. Golden State had an incredible display on both sides of the court and as a unit altogether.
They held Dallas to just 87 points and had 7 players score in double digits. Curry led the way with 21 points, but it was a total all around effort to get a big win.
Game 2 was a bit of a different story, but had the same result. Dallas looked much better this time around and some of their players ended the game with huge stat lines. Luka Doncic led the way with 42 points, but Jalen Brunson scored 31 and Reggie Bullock chipped in 21 as well.
They led by 7 after the first quarter and a 40 point second had them up 72-58 at halftime. Dallas looked like they were a completely different team in the first half and were in a great spot to even up the series in Golden State.
Sadly, the Mavericks couldn’t hold on and fell apart in dramatic fashion. Their 3rd quarter was abysmal with just 13 points and they let Golden State score 43 in the 4th as well.
Even with a commanding lead, Dallas couldn’t hold Golden State and didn’t even cover the spread (+6).
Now that they head back home, the Mavericks can make some final tune ups and could get their first win. They have to look like the 1st half team from Game 2 for the majority of the game, but it’s possible.
Dallas was able to win the series against Phoenix after dropping the first two games as well.
Same Game Parlay for Warriors vs. Mavericks Game 3
If you combine these 3 selections into a Same Game Parlay on Bovada, you would have (+525) combined odds. That means a $100 bet would cash into $625 if all 3 legs hit.
Reggie Bullock has been shooting very well from downtown recently. He’s hit 3 or more threes and has double digit attempts in 3 of his last 4 games. In this series, he hit 3 in Game 1 and 6 in Game 2. Bullock is also shooting 41.7% from 3 in playoff home games this year, so there’s a chance he hits 4 or 5 in this one.
Jalen Brunson has played the Warriors 6 times this season and has registered at least 4 assists in every single game. It seems too good to be true for plus odds to be offered for this prop. He’s averaging almost 5 assists per game this season (4.8), so I’m very surprised to see the pricing this good.
Kevon Looney has played a very large role in the Warriors’ success in the first two games. Here’s a look at his two stat lines in their wins;
- Game 1: 10 points (5/5), 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks
- Game 2: 21 points (10/14), 12 rebounds (5 offensive)
With how lethal Golden State is on the perimeter, having Looney tear up the paint has been a real big help. He should be getting another 30ish minutes considering how the first two games went, which should give him a great chance to get 9 rebounds.
He had an incredible 22 rebound performance against Memphis in Game 6 too, so he’s been on fire.
Warriors vs. Mavericks Game 3 Pick on 5/22/2022
-
Dallas Mavericks -2.5-110
As for my Warriors vs. Mavericks pick for Game 3, I am finding the Mavericks as the team I want to bet on. Golden State has looked incredible in the first two games of the series, but Dallas gets home court advantage in this one.
If you think the Warriors are going to go up 3-0, their moneyline definitely has value at (+110) odds.
Dallas looked like they were going to win Game 2 pretty easily, but the Warriors stormed back. If they can work up another good lead, they should be able to seal the deal this time.
Game 3 starts at 9:00 p.m ET on the TNT network. It should be loud and exciting in Dallas, so this should be a fun one to watch or go to.
