| June 23, 2021 7:54 am PDT

If you’re looking for the odds for the Mario Barrios vs. Gervonta Davis fight this Saturday, I have you covered.

I’ll also provide the best bets and some other betting tips for Barrios vs. Davis ahead of the scrap at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, this June 26.

Barrios’ WBA (Regular) super lightweight title is on the line on the night, with both men also putting their undefeated records at each other’s feet. The champ is 26-0 with 17 KOs, while Davis takes an impressive 24-0 (23 KOs) record into the ropes.

This betting preview with predictions and pick for Barrios vs. Davis will hopefully help you win some money on the fight. I’ll be explaining how I see this one going a little later in detail. But you can have my prediction for who wins and how right now.

Barrios or Davis – Who Wins?

  • Gervonta Davis by KO/TKO

My prediction for Davis vs. Barrios is a knockout victory for “Tank.”

Although “El Azteca” will be a tricky customer for the Baltimore-native, Davis should be able to work him out by the midway point of the fight and score what will be his 15th successive KO/TKO.

Before I get into why betting on Davis to beat Barrios is the right way to go, let’s get the latest odds for this Saturday’s fight.

Latest Odds for Barrios vs. Davis

Mario Barrios to Win+300
Gervonta Davis to Win-400

If you’re looking for the best odds for Davis to beat Barrios, it’s worth shopping around for value.

Davis is the -400 favorite on the moneyline, which essentially means you will win $100 for every $400 you put on him. These are the tightest odds for Tank Davis for years, and that has something to do with Davis being considerably smaller than his man, who is also unbeaten as a pro.

But will I bet on Barrios to beat Davis? No.

Although capable of pulling off an upset, the odds for Barrios to win are not enough to pique my interest.

With that in mind, the prop bets for Barrios vs. Davis is the logical next stop. Keep reading to find out the best bets for Saturday night’s main event in Georgia.

Barrios vs. Davis Best Bets

Fight Doesn’t Go the Distance-157
Davis to Win by KO/TKO-137
Davis to Win in Rounds 5-8+250

If you are wagering on Barrios vs. Davis not to go the distance, you can get odds of -157 with the best boxing sportsbooks online.

Although both men have never tasted defeat, I don’t see this clash of styles lending itself to a tactical chess match that reaches the judges’ scorecards. So, if you’re on my wave here but are unsure of who will win by stoppage, this bet could be for you.

The next of my best bets and betting tips for Barrios vs. Davis is to bet on Tank’s odds to win by KO/TKO.

As you can see, there is only a slight improvement on the first bet, but it’s still much better than taking Davis on the moneyline. But once again, if you fancy a stoppage and are on the fence, I’d take that first bet.

Finally, if you’re dedicated to the idea of Tank winning by stoppage, you can get solid odds for Davis to beat Barrios by KO/TKO in rounds 5 to 8. I think he will get into his groove by the 5th, and this bet gives you three rounds for him to find the money shot.

Next up, why I like Davis by stoppage.

Why Davis Beats Barrios by KO/TKO

I’ll freely admit that there are much tougher opponents in this weight class for Tank Davis.

With that said, it’s not exactly an easy fight. Barrios has advantages of 4.5″ in height and four inches in reach over Davis. He’s the bigger man who is acclimated to the super lightweight domain.

So, why would I recommend betting on Davis to beat Barrios by KO/TKO? Well, as luck has it, not everything in life comes down to size. Davis might be shorter and not as rangy, but he has the upper hand when it comes to boxing skills, power, and defense.

My betting prediction for Barrios vs. Davis is not determined by height and reach. Nor is it down to the champ’s speed, who has a nice, slick jab and fast hands.

Instead, I see this fight going in favor of the smarter fighter that can impose their game plan on the other man. And that will be Davis.

I’m putting my chips down on Tank, as his advantages in power and fight IQ will see him through. If Barrios is sloppy in how he fights the smaller man, we could see an early knockout.

But instead, I think he’ll play it tight and look to build behind the jab. The only problem with this is that Davis will work out his cautious approach within the first half of the fight and amp up the pressure. From here, his focus will be on making him miss and making him pay.

Once again, my betting prediction for Barrios vs. Davis is for Tank to win by KO/TKO.
